Exodus 23:12

“Six days [each week] you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall stop [working] so that your ox and your donkey may settle down and rest, and the son of your female servant, as well as your stranger, may be refreshed.

Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

“Work for six days and rest the seventh so your ox and donkey may rest and your servant and migrant workers may have time to get their needed rest.

“Six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you shall cease from labor so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female slave, as well as [k]your stranger, may refresh themselves.

“Do all your work in six days. But do not do any work on the seventh day. Then your oxen and donkeys can rest. The slaves born in your house can be renewed. And so can the outsiders who live among you.

“Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.

اعْمَلْ سِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ فَقَطْ، وَفِي الْيَوْمِ السَّابِعِ تَسْتَرِيحُ لِكَيْ يَسْتَرِيحَ أَيْضاً ثَوْرُكَ وَحِمَارُكَ، وَيَنْتَعِشَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ وَالغَرِيبُ.

Du kan arbejde i seks dage, men på den syvende dag skal du hvile, så dine okser og æsler kan komme til kræfter, og dine slaver og de fremmede kan få hvilet ud.

Sechs Tage lang sollt ihr eure Arbeit tun, aber am siebten Tag sollt ihr ruhen, damit eure Rinder und Esel sich erholen und auch eure Sklaven und die Fremden bei euch sich ausruhen können.

“너희는 6일 동안만 일하고 7일째 되는 날에는 휴식하여 너희 소와 나귀가 쉴 수 있게 하고 너희 집의 종들과 외국인이 휴식을 취할 수 있게 하라.

Zes dagen mag u werken, maar op de zevende dag moet u rusten, zodat ook uw runderen en ezels op adem kunnen komen en de leden van uw huishouding—de slaven en bezoekers—kunnen uitrusten.
