Exodus 20:4

“You shall not make for yourself any idol, or any likeness (form, manifestation) of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth [as an object to worship].

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

“You shall not make for yourself [c]an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.

“Do not make for yourself statues of gods that look like anything in the sky. They may not look like anything on the earth or in the waters either.

“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.

‘You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.

“You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.

لَا تَنْحَتْ لَكَ تِمْثَالاً، وَلا تَصْنَعْ صُورَةً مَّا مِمَّا فِي السَّمَاءِ مِنْ فَوْقُ، وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مِنْ تَحْتُ، وَمَا فِي الْمَاءِ مِنْ أَسْفَلِ الأَرْضِ.

Du må ikke lave afgudsbilleder af nogen art ud fra det, du ser i himmelrummet, på jorden eller i vandet under jorden.

Fertige dir keine Götzenstatue an, auch kein Abbild von irgendetwas am Himmel, auf der Erde oder im Meer.
