Exodus 17:6

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at [a]Horeb; there you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so that the people may [have something to] drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

فَهَا أَنَا أَقِفُ هُنَاكَ أَمَامَكَ عَلَى الصَّخْرَةِ فِي حُورِيبَ. اضْرِبِ الصَّخْرَةَ فَيَنْفَجِرَ مِنْهَا الْمَاءُ لِيَشْرَبَ الشَّعْبُ». وَهَكَذَا فَعَلَ مُوسَى أَمَامَ شُيُوخِ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

Jeg vil stå foran dig på klippen ved Horebs bjerg. Og når du slår på klippen, vil der strømme vand ud af den, så alle kan få noget at drikke.” Det gjorde Moses så for øjnene af Israels ledere, og vandet strømmede frem.

내가 [a]시내산 바위 위에서 네 앞에 서겠다. 너는 그 지팡이로 바위를 쳐라. 그러면 바위에서 물이 나와 백성이 마실 수 있을 것이다.” 그래서 모세는 이스라엘 장로들이 보는 앞에서 그대로 하였다.

Jag ska stå framför dig där på klippan vid berget Horeb[a]. Slå på klippan med din stav, så ska vatten komma fram ur den. Då ska folket få att dricka.” Mose gjorde så inför de äldste i Israel.

เราจะยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าเจ้าที่ศิลาแห่งโฮเรบ จงเอาไม้เท้าตีศิลาก้อนนั้น แล้วน้ำจะไหลออกมาให้ผู้คนดื่ม” ดังนั้นโมเสสก็ทำตามนี้ต่อหน้าบรรดาผู้อาวุโสของอิสราเอล
