Exodus 17:1

Then all the congregation of the children of Israel moved on from the Wilderness of Sin by stages, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.

And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

1-2 Directed by God, the whole company of Israel moved on by stages from the Wilderness of Sin. They set camp at Rephidim. And there wasn’t a drop of water for the people to drink. The people took Moses to task: “Give us water to drink.” But Moses said, “Why pester me? Why are you testing God?”

وَتَنَقَّلَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى مَرَاحِلَ، مِنْ صَحْرَاءِ سِينَ بِمُقْتَضَى أَمْرِ الرَّبِّ إِلَى أَنْ خَيَّمُوا فِي رَفِيدِيمَ حَيْثُ لَمْ يَجِدُوا مَاءً لِلشُّرْبِ.

På Herrens befaling forlod Israels folk nu Sins ørken og flyttede fra sted til sted. På et tidspunkt kom de til Refidim, men der var intet vand der.
