Ecclesiastes 5:18

Behold, here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat and drink, and to find enjoyment in all the labor in which he labors under the sun during the few days of his life which God gives him—for this is his [allotted] reward.

Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.

Here is what I have seen to be good and [v]fitting: to eat, to drink and [w]enjoy oneself in all one’s labor in which he toils under the sun during the few [x]years of his life which God has given him; for this is his [y]reward.

I have seen what is good. It is good for a person to eat and drink. It’s good for them to be satisfied with their hard work on this earth. That’s what they should do during the short life God has given them. That’s what God made them for.

This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.

Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life.

فَتَأَمَّلْ مَا وَجَدْتُ: مِنَ الأَفْضَلِ وَالأَلْيَقِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الإِنْسَانُ وَيَشْرَبَ وَيَسْتَمْتِعَ بِمَا تَكَبَّدَهُ مِنْ عَنَاءٍ تَحْتَ الشَّمْسِ طَوَالَ أَيَّامِ حَيَاتِهِ الْقَلِيلَةِ الَّتِي وَهَبَهَا اللهُ لَهُ، لأَنَّ هَذَا هُوَ حَظُّهُ.

Det er en gave fra Gud at blive velsignet med velstand, at få lov til at nyde den og samtidig kunne glæde sig over sit arbejde.

Wenn jemand es zu Reichtum bringt und sich an seinem Besitz erfreuen kann, dann hat er das Gott zu verdanken. Ja, die Früchte seiner Arbeit zu genießen, das ist Gottes Geschenk!

En effet, si Dieu donne à un homme des richesses et des biens, et s’il lui accorde la possibilité d’en profiter, d’en retirer sa part et de trouver de la joie au milieu de son labeur, c’est un don de Dieu.

Gani nareyalisar ko nga ang labing maayo nga himuon sang tawo sa iya malip-ot nga kabuhi nga ginhatag sang Dios sa iya amo ang pagkaon, pag-inom, kag pagpangalipay sa iya ginpangabudlayan diri sa kalibutan, kay para gid man ina sa iya.

でも、良いことが少なくとも一つあります。生きている限りは、おいしい物を食べ、上等のワインを飲み、置かれた立場を受け入れ、与えられた仕事がどのようなものであれ、それを楽しむことです。 19-20 主のおかげで財産家になり、健康にも恵まれているとしたら、それこそ申し分のないことです。仕事を楽しみ、与えられた人生に満足することこそ、神からの贈り物です。こういう人は、神から喜びを与えられているのですから、悲しい思いで過去を振り返る必要などありません。

나는 하나님이 주신 짧은 일생을 사는 동안 먹고 마시며 자기 일에 만족을 느끼는 것이 제일 좋은 일이며 이것이 인간의 운명임을 알았다.

En natuurlijk is het ook goed als een mens rijkdom heeft gekregen van God en bovendien de gezondheid bezit om ervan te kunnen genieten. Houden van je werk en je plaats in het leven te aanvaarden, dat is werkelijk een geschenk van God.

Iată ce am înţeles eu că este bine şi frumos: ca omul să mănânce, să bea şi să trăiască bine de pe urma întregii lui osteneli pe care a depus-o sub soare în timpul puţinelor zile ale vieţii sale, pe care Dumnezeu i le-a dat, căci aceasta este partea sa.

Om Gud ger en människa rikedom och ägodelar och låter henne njuta av dem, ta dem till sig och glädja sig åt sin möda, är det en gåva från Gud.

แล้วข้าพเจ้าจึงตระหนักว่าดีแล้ว เหมาะสมแล้ว ที่มนุษย์จะกินดื่ม และหาความอิ่มใจในการตรากตรำทำงานภายใต้ดวงอาทิตย์ตลอดชั่วชีวิตสั้นๆ ซึ่งพระเจ้าประทานให้ เพราะนี่เป็นส่วนของเขา

我认为人生最美最善的是，在上帝所赐的短暂岁月中尽情吃喝，享受自己在日光之下劳苦得来的成果。因为这是人当得的。

我 所 见 为 善 为 美 的 ， 就 是 人 在 神 赐 他 一 生 的 日 子 吃 喝 ， 享 受 日 光 之 下 劳 碌 得 来 的 好 处 ， 因 为 这 是 他 的 分 。

我認為人生最美最善的是，在上帝所賜的短暫歲月中盡情吃喝，享受自己在日光之下勞苦得來的成果。因為這是人當得的。
