Deuteronomy 9:25

“So I fell down and lay face down before the Lord forty days and nights because the Lord had said He would destroy you.

Thus I fell down before the Lord forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the Lord had said he would destroy you.

“So I fell down before the Lord the forty days and nights, which I [h]did because the Lord had said He would destroy you.

I lay down in front of the Lord with my face toward the ground for 40 days and 40 nights. I did it because the Lord had said he would destroy you.

I lay prostrate before the Lord those forty days and forty nights because the Lord had said he would destroy you.

“That is why I threw myself down before the Lord for forty days and nights—for the Lord said he would destroy you.

فَسَقَطْتُ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ أَرْبَعِينَ نَهَاراً وَأَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ أَعْلَنَ أَنَّهُ عَازِمٌ أَنْ يَقْضِيَ عَلَيْكُمْ.

Da jeg lå for Herrens ansigt i 40 dage og bad for dem, var det, fordi Herren havde sagt, at han ville udrydde sit folk.

あまりのひどさに、主はあなたがたを滅ぼそうとなさいました。それで、私は四十日の間、昼も夜も主の前にひれ伏して祈りました。

“因为耶和华说要毁灭你们，我就俯伏在耶和华面前四十昼夜，
