Deuteronomy 9:18

Then, as before, I fell down before the Lord for [another] forty days and forty nights; I did not eat food or drink water, because of all the sin you had committed by doing [b]what was evil in the sight of the Lord to provoke Him to anger.

And I fell down before the Lord, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.

Then once again I fell down flat in front of the Lord with my face toward the ground. I lay there for 40 days and 40 nights. I didn’t eat any food or drink any water. You had committed a terrible sin. You had done an evil thing in the Lord’s sight. You had made him angry.

“Then, as before, I threw myself down before the Lord for forty days and nights. I ate no bread and drank no water because of the great sin you had committed by doing what the Lord hated, provoking him to anger.

ثُمَّ انْطَرَحْتُ بِذُلٍّ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ أَرْبَعِينَ نَهَاراً وَأَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً، كَمَا فِي السَّابِقِ، لَا آكُلُ خُبْزاً وَلا أَشْرَبُ مَاءً، مِنْ جَرَّاءِ كُلِّ خَطَايَاكُمُ الَّتِي ارْتَكَبْتُمُوهَا فِي عَيْنَيِ الرَّبِّ لِتُغِيظُوهُ،

Derefter lå jeg for Herrens ansigt endnu 40 dage uden at spise eller drikke. Jeg sørgede over deres utrolige ondskab, som endnu en gang havde fremkaldt hans vrede.

Ensuite, je me suis effondré devant l’Eternel et suis resté comme la première fois sans manger ni boire durant quarante jours et quarante nuits à cause du grand péché que vous aviez commis en faisant ce que l’Eternel juge mauvais et par lequel vous aviez provoqué sa colère.

“Dayon naghapa ako sa atubangan sang Ginoo sa sulod sang 40 ka adlaw kag 40 ka gab-i nga wala sing kaon-kaon kag inom-inom, tungod sa tanan nga sala nga inyo ginhimo. Malaot gid sa panulok sang Ginoo ang inyo ginhimo kag nakapaakig gid sa iya.

それで、私はもう一度、飲まず食わずで四十日間、主の前にひれ伏しました。あなたがたが主の最も憎まれることをして、怒りを買ってしまったためです。

그러고서 나는 다시 40일 동안 밤낮 여호와 앞에 엎드려 아무것도 먹지 않고 마시지도 않았습니다. 내가 이렇게 한 것은 여러분이 여호와께서 가장 미워하시는 악을 행하여 그분을 몹시 노하게 하였기 때문입니다.

Opnieuw wierp ik mij veertig dagen en nachten voor de Here neer, zonder te eten of te drinken. U had gedaan wat de Here het meest haatte en daardoor had u zijn toorn opgewekt.

“Depois prostrei-me perante o Senhor outros quarenta dias e quarenta noites; não comi pão, nem bebi água, por causa do grande pecado que vocês tinham cometido, fazendo o que o Senhor reprova, provocando a ira dele.

Então durante outros quarenta dias e quarenta noites estive prostrado perante o Senhor, sem nada comer nem beber; pois tinham feito aquilo que o Senhor mais abominava, provocando grandemente a sua ira.

M-am aruncat cu faţa la pământ înaintea Domnului timp de patruzeci de zile şi patruzeci de nopţi. Nu am mâncat pâine şi nici nu am băut apă din cauza tuturor păcatelor pe care le-aţi săvârşit. Astfel aţi făcut ce este rău înaintea Domnului şi I-aţi provocat mânia.

Sedan låg jag inför Herren i ytterligare fyrtio dagar och nätter utan bröd eller vatten för all den synds skull ni hade begått, när ni gjorde det onda inför Herren och väckte hans vrede.

แล้วอีกครั้งหนึ่งที่ข้าพเจ้าหมอบกราบลงต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าสี่สิบวันสี่สิบคืน ไม่กินไม่ดื่มอะไรเพราะบาปทั้งปวงที่ท่านได้ทำ ท่านได้ทำสิ่งที่ชั่วร้ายในสายพระเนตรขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเป็นการยั่วยุให้พระองค์ทรงพระพิโรธ

“我又俯伏在耶和华面前，四十昼夜不吃不喝，因为你们犯了大罪，做耶和华憎恶的事，惹祂发怒。

因 你 们 所 犯 的 一 切 罪 ， 行 了 耶 和 华 眼 中 看 为 恶 的 事 ， 惹 他 发 怒 ， 我 就 像 从 前 俯 伏 在 耶 和 华 面 前 四 十 昼 夜 ， 没 有 吃 饭 ， 也 没 有 喝 水 。

「我又俯伏在耶和華面前，四十晝夜不吃不喝，因為你們犯了大罪，做耶和華憎惡的事，惹祂發怒。
