Deuteronomy 20:8

Then the officers shall speak further to the soldiers and say, ‘Who is the man who is afraid and lacks courage? Let him go and return to his house, so that he does not cause his brothers’ courage to fail like his own.’

And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.

The officers will then continue, “And is there a man here who is wavering in resolve and afraid? Let him go home right now so that he doesn’t infect his fellows with his timidity and cowardly spirit.”

Then the officers shall speak further to the people and say, ‘Who is the man that is afraid and fainthearted? Let him depart and return to his house, so that [e]he might not make his brothers’ hearts melt like his heart.’

The officers will continue, “Is anyone afraid or scared? Let him go home. Then the other soldiers won’t lose hope too.”

Then the officers shall add, “Is anyone afraid or fainthearted? Let him go home so that his fellow soldiers will not become disheartened too.”

“Then the officers will also say, ‘Is anyone here afraid or worried? If you are, you may go home before you frighten anyone else.’

ثُمَّ يَسْتَطْرِدُ قَادَةُ الْجَيْشِ قَائِلِينَ: هَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ رَجُلٌ خَائِفٌ وَاهِنُ الْقَلْبِ؟ لِيَرْجِعْ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ لِئَلّا يَعْتَرِيَ الْخَوْفُ قُلُوبَ إِخْوَتِهِ مِثْلَهُ.

Er der nogen, som er bange for at kæmpe? I så fald skal I vende hjem, så I ikke ved jeres frygt nedbryder hærens moral.’

Weiter sollen die Männer eure Soldaten auffordern: »Jeder, der sich fürchtet und mutlos ist, soll umkehren. Sonst steckt er bloß die anderen mit seiner Angst an.«

おじけづいている者はいないか。そんな者がいたら、全体の士気に影響する。すぐに家へ帰りなさい。』

그리고 겁이 나서 두려워하는 자가 있느냐? 그런 사람은 집으로 돌아가거라. 그렇지 않으면 다른 사람까지 사기가 저하될 것이다.’

En verder, is iemand bang? Als u dat bent, ga dan naar huis, voordat u ook anderen bang maakt!”

Por fim os oficiais acrescentarão: ‘Alguém está com medo e não tem coragem? Volte ele para sua casa, para que os seus irmãos israelitas também não fiquem desanimados’.

E agora, está alguém com medo? Se for o caso, volte já para casa antes de comunicar esse terror aos outros!”

După aceea, dregătorii să vorbească mai departe poporului: «Cine este fricos sau slab la inimă? Să plece şi să se întoarcă acasă, ca să nu înmoaie inima celor din poporul lui.»

Och till sist ska ledarna säga till hären: ”Om någon är rädd ska han vända hem, så att inte hans rädsla smittar av sig på andra.”

แล้วแม่ทัพนายกองกล่าวเสริมว่า “มีใครใจเสาะหรือหวาดหวั่นบ้าง? ถ้ามีจงกลับบ้านไปก่อนที่จะทำให้คนอื่นเสียขวัญไปด้วย”

官长也要告诉士兵，‘有没有胆怯、害怕的？他可以回家去，免得影响他人士气。’

官 长 又 要 对 百 姓 宣 告 说 ： 谁 惧 怕 胆 怯 ， 他 可 以 回 家 去 ， 恐 怕 他 弟 兄 的 心 消 化 ， 和 他 一 样 。

官長也要告訴士兵，『有沒有膽怯、害怕的？他可以回家去，免得影響他人士氣。』
