Deuteronomy 14:7

However, you are not to eat any of these [animals] among those which chew the cud, or among those that divide the hoof in two: the camel, the hare and the [c]shaphan, for though they chew the cud, they do not split the hoof; they are unclean for you.

Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.

Some animals only chew the cud. Others only have a divided hoof. The camel, rabbit and rock badger chew the cud, but they don’t have a divided hoof. So you can’t eat them. They are not “clean” for you.

However, of those that chew the cud or that have a divided hoof you may not eat the camel, the rabbit or the hyrax. Although they chew the cud, they do not have a divided hoof; they are ceremonially unclean for you.

وَلَكِنْ لَا تَأْكُلُوا الْحَيَوَانَاتِ الْمُجْتَرَّةَ غَيْرَ مَشْقُوقَةِ الظِّلْفِ، كَالْجَمَلِ وَالأَرْنَبِ وَالْوَبَرِ، فَإِنَّهَا تَجْتَرُّ وَلَكِنَّهَا غَيْرُ مَشْقُوقَةِ الظِّلْفِ، لِذَلِكَ هِيَ نَجِسَةٌ لَكُمْ،

men alle andre dyr må I ikke spise. Derfor må I ikke spise kameler, harer og klippegrævlinger, for de tygger drøv, men de har ikke spaltede klove.

Dock ska ni inte äta följande, trots att de idisslar eller har kluvna klövar: kamel, hare eller klippgrävling. De idisslar[d] men har inga klövar. De är orena för er.

แต่อย่ารับประทานสัตว์ใดที่ไม่มีคุณสมบัติครบทั้งสองข้อนี้ ฉะนั้นอย่ารับประทานอูฐ กระต่าย กระจงผา ซึ่งเคี้ยวเอื้องแต่กีบไม่แยก สัตว์เหล่านี้เป็นมลทินตามระเบียบพิธีสำหรับท่าน

在那些只是反刍或只是蹄子分瓣的动物中，你们不可吃骆驼、野兔和獾，因为它们反刍但蹄子不分瓣，是不洁净的。
