Daniel 5:17

Then Daniel answered and said before the king, “Keep your gifts for yourself and give your rewards to someone else; however, I will read the writing to the king and reveal the interpretation to him.

Because God made him so famous, people from everywhere, whatever their race, color, and creed, were totally intimidated by him. He killed or spared people on whim. He promoted or humiliated people capriciously. He developed a big head and a hard spirit. Then God knocked him off his high horse and stripped him of his fame. He was thrown out of human company, lost his mind, and lived like a wild animal. He ate grass like an ox and was soaked by heaven’s dew until he learned his lesson: that the High God rules human kingdoms and puts anyone he wants in charge. 22-23 “You are his son and have known all this, yet you’re as arrogant as he ever was. Look at you, setting yourself up in competition against the Master of heaven! You had the sacred chalices from his Temple brought into your drunken party so that you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines, could drink from them. You used the sacred chalices to toast your gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone—blind, deaf, and imbecile gods. But you treat with contempt the living God who holds your entire life from birth to death in his hand. 24-26 “God sent the hand that wrote on the wall, and this is what is written: mene, teqel, and peres. This is what the words mean:“Mene: God has numbered the days of your rule and they don’t add up.

Then Daniel answered and said before the king, “[r]Keep your gifts for yourself or give your rewards to someone else; however, I will read the inscription to the king and make the interpretation known to him.

Then Daniel answered the king. He said, “You can keep your gifts for yourself. You can give your rewards to someone else. But I will read the writing for you. I’ll tell you what it means.

فَأَجَابَ دَانِيَالُ الْمَلِكَ: «لِتَبْقَ عَطَايَاكَ لَكَ، وَجُدْ بِهِبَاتِكَ عَلَى غَيْرِي، وَلَكِنِّي أَقْرَأُ الْكِتَابَةَ لِلْمَلِكِ وَأُطْلِعُهُ عَلَى تَفْسِيرِهَا.

„Jeg skal gerne læse skriften for Deres Majestæt og forklare, hvad den betyder,” svarede Daniel. „Men behold blot Deres gaver eller giv dem til en anden.

Nagsabat si Daniel, “Sa imo na lang ina nga mga regalo, Mahal nga Hari, ukon ihatag na lang sa iban. Pero basahon ko gihapon para sa imo inang nakasulat sa dingding kag isaysay kon ano ang kahulugan sina.

ดาเนียลจึงทูลกษัตริย์ว่า “ขอทรงเก็บของประทานไว้และปูนบำเหน็จแก่ผู้อื่นเถิด อย่างไรก็ดีข้าพระบาทจะอ่านข้อความถวายฝ่าพระบาทและทูลความหมายให้ทรงทราบ

但以理回答说：“你的礼物自己留着，你的赏赐可以给别人，不过我会为你读这些字，解释意思。

但 以 理 在 王 面 前 回 答 说 ： 你 的 赠 品 可 以 归 你 自 己 ， 你 的 赏 赐 可 以 归 给 别 人 ； 我 却 要 为 王 读 这 文 字 ， 把 讲 解 告 诉 王 。
