Daniel 2:9

If you will not reveal to me the [content of the] dream, there is but one sentence for you; for you have [already] prepared lying and corrupt words [and you have agreed together] to speak [them] before me [hoping to delay your execution] until the situation is changed. Therefore, tell me the dream [first], and then I will know [with confidence] that you can give me its interpretation.”

بِمُعَاقَبَتِكُمْ إِنْ لَمْ تُنْبِئُونِي بِالْحُلْمِ، لأَنَّكُمُ اتَّفَقْتُمْ عَلَى اخْتِلاقِ الْكَذِبِ وَالضَّلالِ لِتَنْطِقُوا بِهِمَا أَمَامِي إِلَى أَنْ يَتَحَقَّقَ مَعْنَى الْحُلْمِ. لِذَلِكَ أَنْبِئُونِي أَوَّلاً بِمَا حَلَمْتُ فَأَعْلَمَ آنَئِذٍ أَنَّكُمْ قَادِرُونَ عَلَى تَفْسِيرِهِ».

Wenn ihr mir nicht sagt, was ich geträumt habe, lasse ich euer Todesurteil vollstrecken. Ich durchschaue eure Pläne: Ihr wollt mir eine Traumdeutung vorsetzen, die nichts als Lug und Trug ist. So meint ihr, mich hinhalten zu können, bis mein Zorn sich gelegt hat[b]. Doch ich bleibe dabei: Erzählt mir den Traum, denn so erkenne ich, dass ihr mir auch die Wahrheit sagt, wenn ihr ihn erklärt.«

Dacă nu-mi veţi face cunoscut visul, nu rămâne decât un singur verdict pentru voi[e]! Văd că v-aţi înţeles să-mi ziceţi minciuni şi lucruri false, sperând că situaţia se va schimba. Aşadar, spuneţi-mi visul ca să ştiu astfel că sunteţi în stare să-mi daţi şi interpretarea lui!

Om ni inte kan tala om vad jag drömde, kan domen över er bara bli en. Ni har gjort en konspiration att tala om för mig falska och lögnaktiga ting, i hopp om att situationen ska förändras. Tala alltså nu om för mig vad jag har drömt, så vet jag att ni också kan säga vad det betyder!”
