Amos 4:1

Hear this word, you [well-fed, pampered] cows (women) of Bashan who are on the mountain of Samaria,Who oppress the poor, who crush the needy,Who say to their husbands, “Bring [the wine] now, and let us drink!”

Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.

“Listen to this, you cows of Bashan grazing on the slopes of Samaria.You women! Mean to the poor, cruel to the down-and-out!Indolent and pampered, you demand of your husbands, ‘Bring us a tall, cool drink!’ 2-3 “This is serious—I, God, have sworn by my holiness! Be well warned: Judgment Day is coming!They’re going to rope you up and haul you off, keep the stragglers in line with cattle prods.They’ll drag you through the ruined city walls, forcing you out single file,And kick you to kingdom come.” God’s Decree. 4-5 “Come along to Bethel and sin! And then to Gilgal and sin some more!Bring your sacrifices for morning worship. Every third day bring your tithe.Burn pure sacrifices—thank offerings. Speak up—announce freewill offerings!That’s the sort of religious show you Israelites just love.” God’s Decree.

Hear this word, you cows of Bashan who are on the mountain of Samaria,Who oppress the poor, who crush the needy,Who say to [a]your husbands, “Bring now, that we may drink!”

Listen to the Lord’s message, you women who live on the hill of Samaria.You treat poor people badly. You crush those who are in need.You say to your husbands, “Bring us some drinks!”But you are already as fat as the cows in Bashan.

Hear this word, you cows of Bashan on Mount Samaria, you women who oppress the poor and crush the needy and say to your husbands, “Bring us some drinks!”

Listen to me, you fat cows[a] living in Samaria,you women who oppress the poor and crush the needy,and who are always calling to your husbands, “Bring us another drink!”

اسْمَعِي هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَةِ يَا نِسَاءَ بَاشَانَ، اللَّوَاتِي يُقِمْنَ فِي جَبَلِ السَّامِرَةِ، مِمَّنْ يَظْلِمْنَ الْمِسْكِينَ وَيَسْحَقْنَ الْفُقَرَاءَ وَاللَّوَاتِي يَقُلْنَ لأَزْوَاجِهِنَّ: هَاتُوا مُسْكِراً لِنَشْرَبَ.

Hør her, Israels fornemme kvinder: I ligner det fede slagtekvæg på Samarias bjerg. I undertrykker de svage og mishandler de fattige. I forlanger hele tiden, at jeres mænd skal komme med drikkevarer.”

Hört zu, ihr Frauen von Samaria, die ihr wohlgenährt seid wie die Kühe auf den saftigen Weiden von Baschan: Ihr unterdrückt die Hilflosen und knechtet die Armen. Ihr verlangt von euren Männern: »Besorgt uns etwas zu trinken!«

Oíd esta palabra, vacas de Basán, que vivís en el monte de Samaria,que oprimís a los desvalidos y maltratáis a los necesitados,que decís a vuestros esposos: «¡Traednos de beber!»

Oigan esta palabra ustedes, vacas de Basán, que viven en el monte de Samaria,que oprimen a los desvalidos y maltratan a los necesitados,que dicen a sus esposos: «¡Tráigannos de beber!»

Ecoutez bien ceci, |ô vaches du Basan[a]qui demeurez |sur les montagnes |de Samarie,qui opprimez les pauvres,et maltraitez les indigents,vous qui dites à vos maris :« Apportez-nous à boire ! »

私の言うことを聞きなさい、サマリヤに住むバシャンの太った雌牛たち。夫をけしかけて貧しい人から取り上げ、困っている者からしぼり取っている女たち。いくら飲んでも十分でない者たちよ。

[a]바산의 암소처럼 살진 사마리아 여인들아, 이 말을 들어라. 너희는 가난한 자를 학대하며 힘없는 자를 억압하고 남편에게 마실 술을 가져오라고 요구하고 있다.

Luister naar mij, ‘vette koeien’ van Basan die in Samaria wonen. U, vrouwen die de mannen aanmoedigen tot het beroven van de armen en het vertrappen van de hulpbehoevenden. U die nooit genoeg te drinken hebt!

Ouçam esta palavra, vocês, vacas de Basã que estão no monte de Samaria,vocês, que oprimem os pobres e esmagam os necessitadose dizem aos senhores deles: “Tragam bebidas e vamos beber!”

Ouçam-me, vocês, gordas vacas de Basã que vivem na Samaria, vocês, mulheres que encorajam os maridos a roubar os pobres e a esmagar os explorados, vocês que nunca estão satisfeitas e que dizem aos maridos que querem beber mais e mais!

住在撒玛利亚山上的巴珊肥母牛啊，你们要听！你们压榨贫寒人，欺凌穷苦人，又使唤丈夫倒酒畅饮。

你 们 住 撒 玛 利 亚 山 如 巴 珊 母 牛 的 啊 ， 当 听 我 的 话 ─ 你 们 欺 负 贫 寒 的 ， 压 碎 穷 乏 的 ， 对 家 主 说 ： 拿 酒 来 ， 我 们 喝 罢 ！

住在撒瑪利亞山上的巴珊肥母牛啊，你們要聽！你們壓榨貧寒人，欺凌窮苦人，又使喚丈夫倒酒暢飲。
