2 Samuel 2:22

Abner repeated again, “Turn away from following me. Why should I have to strike you to the ground? How would I [c]be able to face Joab your brother [and look him in the eye]?”

And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn thee aside from following me: wherefore should I smite thee to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab thy brother?

Abner tried again, “Turn back. Don’t force me to kill you. How would I face your brother Joab?” 23-25 When he refused to quit, Abner struck him in the belly with the blunt end of his spear so hard that it came out his back. Asahel fell to the ground and died at once. Everyone who arrived at the spot where Asahel fell and died stood and gaped—Asahel dead! But Joab and Abishai kept up the chase after Abner. As the sun began to set, they came to the hill of Ammah that faced Giah on the road to the backcountry of Gibeon. The Benjaminites had taken their stand with Abner there, deployed strategically on a hill.

Abner repeated again to Asahel, “Turn [r]aside from following me. Why should I strike you to the ground? How then could I lift up my face to your brother Joab?”

Again Abner warned Asahel, “Stop chasing me! If you don’t, I’ll strike you down. Then how could I look your brother Joab in the face?”

Again Abner shouted to him, “Get away from here! I don’t want to kill you. How could I ever face your brother Joab again?”

ثُمَّ عَادَ أَبْنَيْرُ يُلِحُّ عَلَى عَسَائِيلَ أَنْ يَكُفَّ عَنْهُ قَائِلاً: «لِمَاذَا تَدْفَعُنِي إِلَى قَتْلِكَ؟ وَكَيْفَ يُمْكِنُنِي أَنْ أُوَاجِهَ أَخَاكَ يُوآبَ إذَا قَتَلْتُكَ؟»

Da råbte Abner: „Hold op med at forfølge mig! Hvis jeg slår dig ihjel, vil jeg aldrig kunne se din bror Joab i øjnene igen!”

押尼珥又对他说：“快走开吧，非逼我杀你吗？我若杀了你，还有何颜面见你哥哥约押呢？”

押 尼 珥 又 对 亚 撒 黑 说 ： 你 转 开 不 追 赶 我 罢 ！ 我 何 必 杀 你 呢 ？ 若 杀 你 ， 有 甚 麽 脸 见 你 哥 哥 约 押 呢 ？

押尼珥又對他說：「快走開吧，非逼我殺你嗎？我若殺了你，還有何顏面見你哥哥約押呢？」
