2 Samuel 18:11

Joab said to the man who informed him, “You saw him! Why then did you not strike him there to the ground? [e]I would have given you ten pieces of silver and a belt.”

And Joab said unto the man that told him, And, behold, thou sawest him, and why didst thou not smite him there to the ground? and I would have given thee ten shekels of silver, and a girdle.

Joab said to the man who told him, “If you saw him, why didn’t you kill him then and there? I’d have rewarded you with ten pieces of silver and a fancy belt.” 12-13 The man told Joab, “Even if I’d had a chance at a thousand pieces of silver, I wouldn’t have laid a hand on the king’s son. We all heard the king command you and Abishai and Ittai, ‘For my sake, protect the young man Absalom.’ Why, I’d be risking my life, for nothing is hidden from the king. And you would have just stood there!” 14-15 Joab said, “I can’t waste my time with you.” He then grabbed three knives and stabbed Absalom in the heart while he was still alive in the tree; by then Absalom was surrounded by ten of Joab’s armor bearers; they hacked away at him and killed him. 16-17 Joab then blew the ram’s horn trumpet, calling off the army in its pursuit of Israel. They took Absalom, dumped him into a huge pit in the forest, and piled an immense mound of rocks over him.Meanwhile the whole army of Israel was in flight, each man making his own way home.

Then Joab said to the man who had told him, “Now behold, you saw him! Why then did you not strike him there to the ground? And I would have given you ten pieces of silver and a belt.”

Joab said to the man, “What! You saw him? Why didn’t you strike him down right there? Then I would have had to give you four ounces of silver and a soldier’s belt.”

Joab said to the man who had told him this, “What! You saw him? Why didn’t you strike him to the ground right there? Then I would have had to give you ten shekels[b] of silver and a warrior’s belt.”

“What?” Joab demanded. “You saw him there and didn’t kill him? I would have rewarded you with ten pieces of silver[d] and a hero’s belt!”

فَقَالَ لَهُ يُوآبُ: «رَأَيْتَهُ مُعَلَّقاً وَلَمْ تَقْتُلْهُ؟ لَوْ فَعَلْتَ، لأَعْطَيْتُكَ عَشَرَةَ قِطَعٍ مِنَ الْفِضَّةِ، وَحِزَامَ الْمُحَارِبِ».

„Så du Absalom hænge der?” udbrød Joab. „Hvorfor slog du ham så ikke ihjel? Jeg ville have belønnet dig med både penge og et officersbælte!”

Joab rief: »Was, du hast ihn gesehen und ihn nicht auf der Stelle umgebracht? Ich hätte dir zehn Silberstücke und einen wertvollen Gürtel dafür gegeben!«

Nagsiling si Joab sa iya, “Ano? Nakita mo siya? Ngaa wala mo siya pagpatya? Kon ginpatay mo siya, kuntani ginpremyuhan ko ikaw sang napulo ka pilak kag pang-opisyal nga paha.”

”Vad menar du? Du såg honom hänga där och slog honom inte till marken?” sa Joav. ”Om du dödat honom, skulle jag ha gett dig tio siklar[a] silver och ett bälte”, fortsatte han.

约押对那报信的说：“什么！你看见他吊在树上，为什么不把他杀掉呢？要是你把他杀了，我会赏你十块银子和一条腰带。”

约 押 对 报 信 的 人 说 ： 你 既 看 见 他 ， 为 甚 麽 不 将 他 打 死 落 在 地 上 呢 ？ 你 若 打 死 他 ， 我 就 赏 你 十 舍 客 勒 银 子 ， 一 条 带 子 。

約押對那報信的說：「什麼！你看見他吊在樹上，為什麼不把他殺掉呢？要是你把他殺了，我會賞你十塊銀子和一條腰帶。」
