2 Kings 25:24

Gedaliah swore [an oath] to them and their men, and said to them, “Do not be afraid of the servants (officials) of the Chaldeans. Live in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will be well with you.”

And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.

Gedaliah assured the officers and their men, giving them his word, “Don’t be afraid of the Babylonian officials. Go back to your farms and families and respect the king of Babylon. Trust me, everything is going to be all right.”

فَحَلَفَ جَدَلْيَا لَهُمْ وَلِرِجَالِهِمْ قَائِلاً: «لا تَخَافُوا مِنْ مُوَظَّفِي الْكِلْدَانِيِّينَ. أَقِيمُوا فِي الأَرْضِ وَاخدُمُوا مَلِكَ بَابِلَ فَتَنَالُوا خَيْراً».

Gedalja forsikrede dem: „I kan roligt overgive jer til babylonierne. Hvis I overgiver jer, får I lov til at blive boende i landet, og I får det godt.”

Gedalja versprach ihnen: »Ihr braucht vor den Babyloniern keine Angst zu haben! Bleibt in Juda und unterwerft euch dem babylonischen König! Dann geht es euch gut. Das schwöre ich euch!«

Nagsumpa si Gedalia sa ila kag sa ila mga tinawo, “Indi kamo magkahadlok sa mga opisyal sang Babilonia. Mag-estar lang kamo sa sini nga duta kag mag-alagad sa hari sang Babilonia, kag mangin maayo ang tanan sa inyo.”
