Then it came to pass that night, that the [c]angel of the Lord went forth and struck down 185,000 [men] in the camp of the Assyrians; when the survivors got up early in the morning, behold, all [185,000] of them were dead.

And it so happened that that very night an angel of God came and massacred 185,000 Assyrians. وَحَدَثَ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ أَنَّ مَلاكَ الرَّبِّ قَتَلَ مِئَةً وَخَمْسَةً وَثَمَانِينَ أَلْفاً مِنْ جَيْشِ الأَشُورِيِّينَ، فَمَا إِنْ طَلَعَ الصَّبَاحُ حَتَّى كَانَتِ الْجُثَثُ الْمَيْتَةُ تَمْلأُ الْمَكَانَ.

Samme nat gik Herrens engel gennem assyrernes lejr og slog 185.000 krigere ihjel. Næste morgen lå der døde kroppe overalt.
