2 Kings 17:8

The Lord had driven out other nations to make room for Israel. But they followed the evil practices of those nations. They also followed the practices that the kings of Israel had started.

سَالِكِينَ حَسَبَ فَرَائِضِ الأُمَمِ الَّذِينَ طَرَدَهُمُ الرَّبُّ مِنْ أَمَامِهِمْ، وَمِنْ أَمَامِ مُلُوكِهِمْ الَّذِينَ نَصَّبُوهُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ.

Anført af Israels konger begyndte de at følge de samme ugudelige skikke, som blev praktiseret af de folkeslag, som Herren havde jaget ud af landet for at give plads til sit eget folk.
