2 Kings 14:25

Jeroboam restored Israel’s border from the [d]entrance of Hamath to the Sea of the Arabah (Dead Sea), in accordance with the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, which He spoke through His servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet who was from Gath-hepher.

He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.

He restored the border of Israel from the entrance of Hamath as far as the Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, which He spoke [i]through His servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was of Gath-hepher.

Jeroboam, the son of Jehoash, made the borders of Israel the same as they were before. They reached from Lebo Hamath all the way to the Dead Sea. That’s what the Lord, the God of Israel, had said would happen. He had spoken that message through his servant Jonah. Jonah the prophet was the son of Amittai. Jonah was from the town of Gath Hepher.

Han generobrede Israels tabte områder fra Lebo-Hamat i nord til Det Døde Hav i syd, sådan som Herren, Israels Gud, havde forudsagt gennem Amittajs søn, Jonas, profeten fra Gat-Hefer.

Jerobeam konnte alle Gebiete zurückerobern, die früher zu Israel gehört hatten, von Lebo-Hamat bis ans Tote Meer.Damit erfüllte sich, was der Herr, der Gott Israels, angekündigt hatte.
