Then Jehoiada the priest took a chest and bored a hole in its lid and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one enters the house of the Lord; and the priests who guarded the door put in the chest all the money that was brought [by the people] into the house of the Lord.

وَأَحْضَرَ يَهُويَادَاعُ الْكَاهِنُ صُنْدُوقاً ثَقَبَ فِي غِطَائِهِ ثُقْباً، وَوَضَعَهُ إِلَى يَمِينِ الْمَذْبَحِ عِنْدَ مَدْخَلِ هَيْكَلِ الرَّبِّ، فَكَانَ الْكَهَنَةُ حُرَّاسُ الْمَدْخَلِ يَضَعُونَ فِيهِ كُلَّ الْفِضَّةِ الْمُقَدَّمَةِ لِهَيْكَلِ الرَّبِّ.

Men præsterne bad om at blive fritaget for ansvaret for restaureringen. Til gengæld gik de med til ikke længere at modtage penge direkte fra folket.

Nagkuha si Jehoyada sang kahon kag ginbuhuan niya ang takop sini. Dayon ginbutang niya ini sa kilid sang halaran, sa tuo dampi kon magpasulod sa templo sang Ginoo. Kon may maghatag gani sang kuwarta sa templo, ang mga pari nga nagabantay sa puwertahan amo ang nagasulod sini sa kahon.

Prästen Jojada tog då en kista, borrade ett hål i locket på den och ställde den på högra sidan av altaret vid tempelingången, och prästerna som var tröskelvakter stoppade i den folkets alla gåvor som fördes till Herrens hus.
