2 Chronicles 6:18

“But will God actually dwell with mankind on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built!

But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!

“But will God indeed dwell with mankind on the earth? Behold, heaven and the [j]highest heaven cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built.

“But will God really live on earth with human beings? After all, the heavens can’t hold you. In fact, even the highest heavens can’t hold you. So this temple I’ve built certainly can’t hold you!

لأَنَّهُ هَلْ يَسْكُنُ اللهُ حَقّاً مَعَ الإِنْسَانِ عَلَى الأَرْضِ؟ إِنْ كَانَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ بَلِ السَّمَاوَاتُ الْعُلَى لَا تَسَعُكَ، فَكَمْ بِالأَحْرَى هَذَا الْهَيْكَلُ الَّذِي بَنَيْتُ!

Er det muligt, at Gud kan tage bolig på jorden? Hvis Himlen er for lille til at rumme dig, Herre, hvordan kan du da bo i det hus, jeg har bygget?

Doch wirst du, Gott, wirklich auf der Erde bei den Menschen wohnen? Ist nicht sogar der weite Himmel noch zu klein, um dich zu fassen, geschweige denn dieses Haus, das ich gebaut habe?

“Pero makaestar gid bala ikaw, O Dios, diri sa kalibutan upod sa mga tawo? Indi gani ikaw makaigo sa langit bisan sa pinakamataas nga parte sang langit, ano pa ayhan sa templo nga ginpatindog ko?

“하나님이시여, 그렇지만 주께서 정말 사람들과 함께 땅에 계실 수 있겠습니까? 가장 높은 하늘도 주를 모실 곳이 못 되는데 하물며 내가 건축한 이 성전에 어떻게 주를 모실 수 있겠습니까?

Maar zou God werkelijk bij de mensen op aarde willen wonen? Maar waarom dan toch? De hemel, zelfs de allerhoogste hemelen kunnen U niet bevatten. Hoe zou die tempel die ik heb gebouwd, dat dan wel kunnen?

“然而，上帝啊，你真的会住在人间吗？看啊，诸天尚且不够你居住，更何况我建造的这殿呢？

神 果 真 与 世 人 同 住 在 地 上 麽 ？ 看 哪 ， 天 和 天 上 的 天 尚 且 不 足 你 居 住 的 ， 何 况 我 所 建 的 这 殿 呢 ？

「然而，上帝啊，你真的會住在人間嗎？看啊，諸天尚且不夠你居住，更何況我建造的這殿呢？
