Then Joash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash the son of Jehoahaz (Ahaziah), at Beth-shemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate, 400 [c]cubits.

Jehoash broke down part of its wall. It’s the part that went from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate. That part of the wall was 600 feet long.

Amatzja blev taget til fange, hvorefter Israels hær marcherede mod Jerusalem og ødelagde bymuren mellem Efraims port og Hjørneporten, en strækning på 200 meter.
