2 Chronicles 15:8

And when Asa heard these words, the prophecy of Azariah the son of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the repulsive idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. Then he restored the altar [of burnt offering] of the Lord which was in front of the porch [of the temple] of the Lord.

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

He removed the statues of gods from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin. He also removed them from the towns he had captured in the hills of Ephraim. He did it because the Lord hated those gods. Asa repaired the altar of the Lord. It was in front of the porch of the Lord’s temple.

아사왕은 예언자 [a]아사랴의 말을 듣고 용기를 얻어 유다와 베냐민 땅은 물론 에브라임 산간 지대에서 그가 빼앗은 모든 성에서 우상을 모조리 제거하고 성전 앞에 있는 여호와의 단을 수리하였다.

När Asa hörde dessa ord och profetian av profeten Asarja, Odeds son, tog han mod till sig och förstörde alla de vidriga avgudarna i hela Juda och Benjamin och i de städer som han hade intagit i Efraims bergsbygd, och han ställde i ordning Herrens altare framför förhallen till Herrens hus.
