1 Samuel 20:12

Then Jonathan said to David, “The Lord, the God of Israel, is my witness! When I have sounded out my father about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if he has a good feeling toward [c]you, shall I not then send word to you and make it known to you?

And Jonathan said unto David, O Lord God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;

Then Jonathan said to David, “The Lord, the God of Israel, be witness! When I have sounded out my father about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if there is good feeling toward David, shall I not then send to you and [h]make it known to you?

Then Jonathan spoke to David. He said, “I promise you that I’ll find out what my father is planning to do. I’ll find out by this time the day after tomorrow. The Lord, the God of Israel, is my witness. Suppose my father has kind feelings toward you. Then I’ll send you a message and let you know.

Then Jonathan said to David, “I swear by the Lord, the God of Israel, that I will surely sound out my father by this time the day after tomorrow! If he is favorably disposed toward you, will I not send you word and let you know?

Then Jonathan said to David, ‘I swear by the Lord, the God of Israel, that I will surely sound out my father by this time the day after tomorrow! If he is favourably disposed towards you, will I not send you word and let you know?

Then Jonathan told David, “I promise by the Lord, the God of Israel, that by this time tomorrow, or the next day at the latest, I will talk to my father and let you know at once how he feels about you. If he speaks favorably about you, I will let you know.

وَهُنَاكَ قَالَ يُونَاثَانُ لِدَاوُدَ: «لِيَكُنِ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ شَاهِداً أَنَّهُ إِنْ كَشَفْتُ عَنْ نِيَّةِ أَبِي مِنْ نَحْوِكَ غداً أَوْ بَعْدَ غَدٍ، فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْوَقْتِ، فَوَجَدْتُ أَنَّهُ يَكُنُّ لَكَ الْخَيْرَ وَلَمْ أُرْسِلْ لأُطْلِعَكَ عَلَيْهِ،

„Jeg lover dig ved Herren, Israels Gud, at enten i morgen eller i overmorgen ved denne tid vil jeg have fundet ud af, hvad min far tænker om dig,” sagde Jonatan. „Så vil det vise sig, at din bekymring er ubegrundet. Ellers skal jeg nok give dig besked.

约拿单对大卫说：“愿以色列的上帝耶和华作证，明天或后天这个时侯我就会打探到我父亲的意思，如果他善意待你，我会派人通知你。
