1 Kings 5:3

“You know that David my father could not build a house (temple) for the Name (Presence) of the Lord his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the Lord put his enemies under his feet.

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

“You know that David my father was unable to build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

“As you know, my father David had to fight many battles. His enemies attacked him from every side. So he couldn’t build a temple where the Lord his God would put his Name. That wouldn’t be possible until the Lord had put his enemies under his control.

“You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the Lord his God until the Lord put his enemies under his feet.

“You know that my father, David, was not able to build a Temple to honor the name of the Lord his God because of the many wars waged against him by surrounding nations. He could not build until the Lord gave him victory over all his enemies.

«أَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ أَبِي دَاوُدَ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يَبْنِيَ بَيْتاً لاسْمِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِهِ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ الْحُرُوبِ الَّتِي خَاضَهَا، حَتَّى أَظْفَرَهُ الرَّبُّ بِأَعْدَائِهِ وَأَخْضَعَهُمْ لَهُ.

“ท่านทราบอยู่ว่าดาวิดราชบิดาของข้าพเจ้ามีศึกติดพันรอบด้าน จึงไม่สามารถสร้างพระวิหารเพื่อพระนามของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพระองค์ จนกระทั่งองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ทรงสยบข้าศึกทั้งหลายไว้แทบพระบาท

“你知道，我父大卫因周围战事连连，未能为他的上帝耶和华建殿，要等到耶和华使仇敌伏在他脚下后再建。

你 知 道 我 父 亲 大 卫 因 四 围 的 争 战 ， 不 能 为 耶 和 华 ─ 他 神 的 名 建 殿 ， 直 等 到 耶 和 华 使 仇 敌 都 服 在 他 脚 下 。

「你知道，我父大衛因周圍戰事連連，未能為他的上帝耶和華建殿，要等到耶和華使仇敵伏在他腳下後再建。
