1 Kings 20:7

Then the king of Israel summoned all the elders of the land and said, “Please observe and see how this man is seeking our destruction. For he sent messengers to me for my wives, my children, my silver, and my gold, and I did not refuse him.”

Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.

The king of Israel called a meeting of all his tribal elders. He said, “Look at this—outrageous! He’s just looking for trouble. He means to clean me out, demanding all my women and children. And after I already agreed to pay him off handsomely!”

Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land and said, “Please observe and see how this man is looking for trouble; for he sent to me for my wives and my children and my silver and my gold, and I did not refuse him.”

Then Ahab summoned all the elders of the land and said to them, “Look how this man is stirring up trouble! I already agreed with his demand that I give him my wives and children and silver and gold.”

فَاسْتَدْعَى مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ جَمِيعَ زُعَمَاءِ الْبِلادِ وَقَالَ: «اعْلَمُوا وَانْظُرُوا أَنَّ بَنْهَدَدَ يَبْغِي الشَّرَّ، فَقَدْ بَعَثَ يَطْلُبُ إِلَيَّ تَسْلِيمَ نِسَائِي وَبَنِيَّ وَفِضَّتِي وَذَهَبِي، فَوَافَقْتُ».

Da tilkaldte Ahab landets ledende mænd. „Den mand er ondskabsfuld!” sagde han. „Jeg gik med til at give ham mine koner og børn og mit sølv og guld—men nu vil han have alle vores ejendele!”

Alors le roi d’Israël convoqua tous les responsables du pays et leur dit : Vous pouvez constater que cet homme nous veut du mal, car il m’a fait réclamer mes femmes et mes fils, mon argent et mon or, et je ne lui avais rien refusé !

Regele lui Israel i-a chemat pe toţi cei din sfatul bătrânilor[b] ţării şi le-a zis:– Vedeţi cum acest om urmăreşte să ne facă rău, căci a trimis după soţiile, fiii, argintul şi aurul meu şi nu l-am refuzat!

Då sammankallade Israels kung de äldste i landet. ”Ni ser hur mycket problem den här mannen skapar”, sa han till dem. ”Han krävde att få mina hustrur och barn och mitt silver och guld, och inget av det förnekade jag honom.”
