1 Kings 20:35

Now a certain man of [e]the sons of the prophets said to another by the word of the Lord, “Please strike me.” But the man refused to strike him.

And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said unto his neighbour in the word of the Lord, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused to smite him.

A man who was one of the prophets said to a bystander, “Hit me; wound me. Do it for God’s sake—it’s his command. Hit me; wound me.” But the man wouldn’t do it.

Now a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to [t]another by the word of the Lord, “Please strike me.” But the man refused to strike him.

There was a group of people called the group of the prophets. A message from the Lord came to one of their members. He said to his companion, “Strike me down with your weapon.” But he wouldn’t do it.

By the word of the Lord one of the company of the prophets said to his companion, “Strike me with your weapon,” but he refused.

Meanwhile, the Lord instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, “Hit me!” But the man refused to hit the prophet.

وَنُزُولاً عِنْدَ أَمْرِ الرَّبِّ، قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي الأَنْبِيَاءِ لِصَاحِبِهِ: «اضْرِبْنِي بِسَيْفِكَ». فَأَبَى الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَضْرِبَهُ.

En af profeterne fik da et budskab fra Herren. Han henvendte sig til en af de andre profeter og sagde: „Slå mig med dit sværd!” Men den anden profet nægtede at gøre det.

众先知中有一位奉耶和华的命令对他的同伴说：“你打我吧！”同伴却不肯动手。
