1 Kings 2:4

so that the Lord may fulfill His [a]promise concerning me, saying, ‘If your sons are careful regarding their way [of life], to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and mind and with all their soul, you shall not fail to have a man (descendant) on the throne of Israel.’

That the Lord may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

so that the Lord may carry out His promise which He spoke concerning me, saying, ‘If your sons are careful of their way, to walk before Me in [c]truth with all their heart and with all their soul, [d]you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’

The Lord will keep the promise he made to me. He said, ‘Your sons must be careful about how they live. They must be faithful to me with all their heart and soul. Then you will always have a son from your family line to sit on the throne of Israel.’

and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: ‘If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’

If you do this, then the Lord will keep the promise he made to me. He told me, ‘If your descendants live as they should and follow me faithfully with all their heart and soul, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

فَيُحَقِّقَ الرَّبُّ وُعُودَهُ الَّتِي وَعَدَنِي بِها قَائِلاً: إِذَا حَفِظَ بَنُوكَ طَرِيقَهُمْ وَسَلَكُوا أَمَامِي بِإِخْلاصٍ مِنْ كُلِّ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ، فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يَنْقَطِعَ لَكَ رَجُلٌ عَنِ اعْتِلاءِ عَرْشِ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

Hvis du altid er lydig, vil Herren opfylde det løfte, han gav mig, for han har lovet, at hvis mine børn og deres efterkommere tager sig i agt og viser helhjertet trofasthed imod ham, vil der i al fremtid være en af mine efterkommere på tronen i Israel.

Dann wird der Herr auch sein Versprechen einlösen, das er mir gegeben hat. Er hat nämlich zu mir gesagt: ›Wenn deine Nachkommen ihr Leben in Verantwortung vor mir führen und mir von ganzem Herzen die Treue halten, wird immer einer von ihnen König über Israel sein.‹

y el Señor cumplirá esta promesa que me hizo: “Si tus descendientes cuidan su conducta y me son fieles con toda el alma y de todo corazón, nunca faltará un sucesor tuyo en el trono de Israel”.

Et ainsi l’Eternel accomplira la promesse qu’il m’a faite en me disant[b] : « Si tes descendants veillent sur leur conduite pour vivre fidèlement selon ma volonté de tout leur cœur et de tout leur être, il y aura toujours l’un d’entre eux sur le trône d’Israël. »

Kon himuon mo ini, tumanon sang Ginoo ang iya ginpromisa sa akon, nga kon ang akon mga kaliwat nagakabuhi sing husto kag nagasunod sa akon sing matutom sa bug-os nila nga kabuhi, may isa gid permi sa ila nga magahari sa Israel.

여호와께서는 나에게 ‘네 자손들이 모든 일에 조심하고 내 앞에서 최선을 다하여 진실하게 살면 이스라엘의 왕위에 오를 사람이 네 집안에서 끊어지지 않을 것이다’ 하고 말씀하셨다. 만일 네가 여호와께 순종하면 여호와께서 이 약속을 지키실 것이다.

Als je dat doet, zal de Here de belofte die Hij mij gaf, nakomen. Als mijn kinderen en hun nakomelingen goed opletten wat zij doen en met hart en ziel trouw zijn aan God, zal er altijd een van hen koning van Israël zijn, er zal nooit een eind komen aan ons koningshuis.

e o Senhor manterá a promessa que me fez: ‘Se os seus descendentes cuidarem de sua conduta, e se me seguirem fielmente de todo o coração e de toda a alma, você jamais ficará sem descendente no trono de Israel’.

Se assim fizeres, o Senhor cumprirá a promessa que me deu, que se os meus filhos e os seus descendentes caminharem com lealdade e se mantiverem fiéis a Deus de todo o coração e alma, haverá sempre um deles que reinará em Israel; a minha dinastia não terá fim.

şi pentru ca Domnul să-Şi ţină promisiunea pe care mi-a făcut-o când a zis: «Dacă fiii tăi vor veghea asupra căii lor, umblând cu credincioşie înaintea Mea, din toată inima lor şi din tot sufletul lor, nu vei fi lipsit niciodată de un urmaş la tronul lui Israel.»

и чтобы Вечный исполнил Своё слово, которое Он сказал обо мне: «Если твои потомки будут внимательны к путям своим и будут ходить передо Мной в истине от всего сердца и от всей души, то ты никогда не лишишься преемника на престоле Исраила».

Då ska Herren uppfylla alla de löften han gav mig. Han sa att om mina barn och deras ättlingar är noga med hur de lever och är trogna och helhjärtade mot honom, så kommer alltid någon av dem att sitta på tronen som kung över Israel.

และเพื่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงทำตามพระสัญญาที่พระองค์ทรงให้ไว้กับพ่อว่า ‘หากลูกหลานของเจ้าระมัดระวังวิถีการดำเนินชีวิตของตน ซื่อสัตย์ภักดีต่อเราสุดใจสุดวิญญาณแล้ว เจ้าจะไม่ขาดคนครองบัลลังก์อิสราเอลเลย’

耶和华必履行给我的应许，祂对我说，‘如果你的子孙谨慎自守，忠心地事奉我，你的王朝必世代相传。’

耶 和 华 必 成 就 向 我 所 应 许 的 话 说 ： 你 的 子 孙 若 谨 慎 自 己 的 行 为 ， 尽 心 尽 意 诚 诚 实 实 地 行 在 我 面 前 ， 就 不 断 人 坐 以 色 列 的 国 位 。

耶和華必履行給我的應許，祂對我說，『如果你的子孫謹慎自守，忠心地事奉我，你的王朝必世代相傳。』
