1 Kings 18:1

Now it happened after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, “Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the face of the earth.”

1-2 A long time passed. Then God’s word came to Elijah. The drought was now in its third year. The message: “Go and present yourself to Ahab; I’m about to make it rain on the country.” Elijah set out to present himself to Ahab. The drought in Samaria at the time was most severe.

It was now three years since it had rained. A message came to Elijah from the Lord. He said, “Go. Speak to Ahab. Then I will send rain on the land.”

وَبَعْدَ ثَلاثِ سَنَوَاتٍ قَالَ الرَّبُّ لإِيلِيَّا: «اذْهَبْ وَامْثُلْ أَمَامَ آخْابَ، وَقُلْ لَهُ إِنَّنِي سَأَسْكُبُ مَطَراً عَلَى الأَرْضِ».
