1 Kings 11:18

They set out from Midian [south of Edom] and came to Paran, and took men with them from Paran and came to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave [young] Hadad a house and ordered food and provisions for him and gave him land.

Ihr Weg führte sie über das Land Midian in die Wüste Paran. Dort schlossen sich ihnen einige ortskundige Männer an, und gemeinsam gelangten sie nach Ägypten. Hadad ging zum Pharao, dem König des Landes, der ihm ein Haus, ein Stück Land und Nahrungsmittel zuteilte.
