1 Kings 1:47

Moreover, the king’s servants came to bless (congratulate) our lord King David, saying, ‘May [o]your God make the name of Solomon better (more famous) than your name and make his throne greater than your throne.’ And the king bowed himself [before God] upon the bed.

The royal officials came to give their blessing to our master King David. They said, ‘May your God make Solomon’s name more famous than yours! May he make Solomon’s kingdom greater than yours!’ While King David was sitting on his bed, he bowed in worship.

وَتَوَافَدَ رِجَالُ الْمَلِكِ دَاوُدَ لِتَهْنِئَتِهِ قَائِلِينَ: «لِيَجْعَلْ إِلَهُكَ اسْمَ سُلَيْمَانَ أَكْثَرَ شُهْرَةً مِنِ اسْمِكَ، وَعَرْشَهُ أَعْظَمَ مِنْ عَرْشِكَ». فَسَجَدَ الْمَلِكُ عَلَى سَرِيرِهِ

Alle Getreuen des Königs sind zu unserem Herrn, dem König David, hineingegangen, um ihn zu dieser Entscheidung zu beglückwünschen: ›Dein Gott mache Salomo noch berühmter als dich‹, haben sie gesagt. ›Möge er noch mächtiger werden als du!‹ Der König aber hat seinen Kopf geneigt und auf seinem Bett den Herrn angebetet.

신하들은 다윗왕을 축하하며 ‘당신의 하나님께서 솔로몬을 당신보다 더 유명하게 하시고 그를 당신보다 더 위대한 통치자가 되게 하시기를 바랍니다’ 하고 말했습니다. 그때 다윗왕은 침대에서 몸을 굽혀 이렇게 기도하였습니다.
