1 John 2:8

On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true and realized in Christ and in you, because the darkness [of moral blindness] is clearing away and the true Light [the revelation of God in Christ] is already shining.

Nové je to, že se tato láska uskutečnila v Kristu. On je to pravé světlo, které rozptyluje temnotu. To se má projevit i na nás: 9-11 Kdo nenávidí bližního, tápe ve tmě a neví, kam jde. Kdo miluje bližního, setrvává ve světle a nepřekáží nikomu v cestě.

Likevel er det en ny befaling, for Jesus har gjennom sitt liv vist hva virkelig kjærlighet innebærer. Som følge av dette har livet deres blitt fylt av kjærlighet. Mørket forsvinner, lyset fra Jesus bryter fram og skinner over hele livet.

Nové je to, že sa táto láska uskutočnila v Kristovi. On je to pravé svetlo, ktoré rozháňa tmu.
