These also cast lots as did their relatives the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites—the head of father’s households as well as those of his younger brother.

These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.

وَأَلْقَوْا هُمْ أَيْضاً الْقُرْعَةَ عَلَى غِرَارِ أَقْرِبَائِهِمِ الْكَهَنَةِ ذُرِّيَّةِ هرُونَ فِي حُضُورِ دَاوُدَ الْمَلِكِ وَصَادُوقَ وَأَخِيمَالِكَ وَرُؤَسَاءِ عَائِلاتِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ، لَا فَرْقَ فِي ذَلِكَ بَيْنَ رُؤَسَاءِ الْعَائِلاتِ وَبَقِيَّةِ أَقْرِبَائِهِمِ الأَصَاغِرِ.

Eux aussi, comme leurs frères, les descendants d’Aaron, recoururent au tirage au sort en présence du roi David, de Tsadoq, d’Ahimélek et des chefs des groupes familiaux des prêtres et des lévites. Ainsi les groupes familiaux étaient tous sur le même plan, celui d’un aîné comme celui du plus jeune.
