Verse 1

I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers.

ข้าพเจ้าได้รับไม้อ้ออันหนึ่ง รูปร่างเหมือนไม้วัด และได้รับคำสั่งว่า “จงไปวัดพระวิหารของพระเจ้ากับแท่นบูชาและนับจำนวนผู้นมัสการที่นั่น

Verse 2

But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.

แต่ไม่ต้องวัดลานชั้นนอกเนื่องจากที่นั่นยกให้คนต่างชาติแล้ว เขาทั้งหลายจะเหยียบย่ำนครศักดิ์สิทธิ์เป็นเวลา 42 เดือน

Verse 3

And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”

เราจะมอบฤทธิ์อำนาจให้แก่พยานทั้งสองของเรา พวกเขาจะนุ่งห่มผ้ากระสอบและเผยพระวจนะเป็นเวลา 1,260 วัน

Verse 4

They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”^[a]

พยานทั้งสองคือต้นมะกอกสองต้นและคันประทีปสองคันซึ่งอยู่ต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของโลก”

Verse 5

If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die.

ไฟจะพุ่งออกจากปากพยานทั้งสอง เผาผลาญผู้คิดจะมาทำร้าย ผู้ใดคิดจะทำอันตรายพยานทั้งสองจะต้องตายเช่นนี้

Verse 6

They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.

ทั้งสองมีฤทธิ์อำนาจที่จะปิด ท้องฟ้าไม่ให้ฝนตกขณะกำลังเผยพระวจนะและมีฤทธิ์ทำให้น้ำกลายเป็นเลือด ตลอดจนบันดาลภัยพิบัติทุกชนิดมากระหน่ำโลกกี่ครั้งก็ได้ตามที่ประสงค์

Verse 7

Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them.

และเมื่อทั้งสองเป็นพยานเสร็จแล้ว สัตว์ร้ายจากนรกขุมลึกจะขึ้นมาทำร้ายพวกเขา มันจะเอาชนะเขาและฆ่าเขา

Verse 8

Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.

ซากศพของพยานทั้งสองจะถูกทิ้งอยู่กลางถนนแห่งมหานครซึ่งได้รับสมญานามว่า โสโดมและอียิปต์ ที่ซึ่งองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของพวกเขาถูกตรึงบนไม้กางเขน

Verse 9

For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial.

ตลอดสามวันครึ่งผู้คนจากทุกหมู่ชน ทุกตระกูล ทุกภาษา และทุกชนชาติจะมาจ้องมองซากศพของเขา และไม่ยอมให้ฝังศพนั้น

Verse 10

The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

ชาวโลกทั้งหลายจะมองศพของเขาด้วยความยินดีและจะเฉลิมฉลองให้ของขวัญแก่กัน เพราะผู้เผยพระวจนะทั้งสองได้ทรมานบรรดาผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ในโลก

Verse 11

But after the three and a half days the breath^[b] of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.

แต่หลังจากสามวันครึ่งแล้วพระเจ้าทรงระบายลมหายใจแห่งชีวิตเข้าในร่างนั้น เขาทั้งสองจึงลุกขึ้นยืน คนที่พบเห็นก็หวาดกลัวยิ่งนัก

Verse 12

Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

แล้วพวกเขาได้ยินเสียงดังจากฟ้าสวรรค์กล่าวว่า “จงขึ้นมาที่นี่” พยานนั้นก็ขึ้นไปในเมฆสู่สวรรค์ขณะที่เหล่าศัตรูของเขามองดูอยู่

Verse 13

At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

ในชั่วโมงนั้นเองเกิดแผ่นดินไหวร้ายแรง และหนึ่งในสิบของเมืองนั้นถล่มลง มีคนตายเจ็ดพันคนในแผ่นดินไหวครั้งนี้ ส่วนผู้ที่รอดชีวิตตกใจกลัวและถวายพระเกียรติสิริแด่พระเจ้าแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์

Verse 14

The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon.

The Seventh Trumpet

วิบัติที่สองได้ผ่านพ้นไป วิบัติที่สามจะมาถึงในไม่ช้านี้

แตรคันที่เจ็ด

Verse 15

The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:

“The kingdom of the world has become
the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah,
and he will reign for ever and ever.”

ทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่เจ็ดเป่าแตรและมีเสียงดังหลายเสียงในสวรรค์กล่าวว่า

“ราชอาณาจักรของโลกนี้ได้กลับมาเป็นราชอาณาจักรขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรากับพระคริสต์ของพระองค์แล้ว และพระองค์จะทรงครองอาณาจักรเป็นนิตย์”

Verse 16

And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God,

แล้วผู้อาวุโสทั้งยี่สิบสี่คนซึ่งนั่งบนบัลลังก์ของตนต่อหน้าพระเจ้าก็หมอบซบหน้าลงนมัสการพระเจ้า

Verse 17

saying:

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.

ทูลว่า

“ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายขอบคุณพระองค์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าผู้ทรงฤทธิ์
ผู้ทรงดำรงอยู่ในปัจจุบันและผู้ทรงดำรงอยู่ในอดีต
เพราะพระองค์ได้ทรงสำแดงฤทธานุภาพยิ่งใหญ่ของพระองค์
และได้ทรงเริ่มครอบครองอาณาจักรแล้ว

Verse 18

The nations were angry,
    and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
    and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name,
    both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

บรรดาประชาชาติโกรธกริ้ว
แต่พระพิโรธของพระองค์มาถึงแล้ว
และเวลานั้นได้มาถึงแล้ว เวลาที่จะทรงพิพากษาคนที่ได้ตายไป
เวลาที่จะประทานบำเหน็จแก่เหล่าผู้เผยพระวจนะผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์
และแก่ประชากรของพระองค์และบรรดาผู้ยำเกรงพระนามของพระองค์
ทั้งผู้ใหญ่ผู้น้อย
และเวลาที่จะทรงทำลายบรรดาผู้ที่ทำลายโลก”

Verse 19

Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.

แล้วพระวิหารของพระเจ้าในสวรรค์ก็เปิดออก และข้าพเจ้าเห็นหีบพันธสัญญาภายในพระวิหารของพระองค์ และเกิดฟ้าแลบแวบวาบ เสียงครืนๆ เสียงฟ้าร้องกึกก้อง แผ่นดินไหว และพายุลูกเห็บครั้งร้ายแรง
