1 Corinthians 6

If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people?

หากใครในพวกท่านเป็นความกัน เขากล้าไปสู้ความกันต่อหน้าคนอธรรมแทนที่จะชำระความกันต่อหน้าประชากรของพระเจ้าหรือ?

Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?

ท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าประชากรของพระเจ้าจะพิพากษาโลก? และถ้าท่านจะเป็นผู้พิพากษาโลก ท่านไม่มีความสามารถจะตัดสินคดีเล็กน้อยเหล่านี้หรือ?

Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

ท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าเราจะพิพากษาทูตสวรรค์? เช่นนี้แล้วเรายิ่งสมควรจะจัดการกับเรื่องราวต่างๆ ของชีวิตนีได้ดีกว่านั้นสักเพียงใด!

Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church?

ฉะนั้นหากท่านเป็นความกันในเรื่องดังกล่าว แม้ตั้งคนที่ไม่สำคัญในคริสตจักรเป็นตุลาการก็ยังได้!^[a]

I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers?

ข้าพเจ้าพูดเช่นนี้เพื่อให้ท่านละอายใจ เป็นไปได้หรือที่ไม่มีสักคนในพวกท่านเลยที่ฉลาดพอจะชำระความในหมู่ผู้เชื่อ?

But instead, one brother takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers!

แต่พี่น้องกลับไปสู้ความกันในศาลต่อหน้าผู้ไม่เชื่อ!

The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

อันที่จริงที่ท่านเป็นคดีความกันในหมู่พวกท่านก็หมายความว่าท่านได้พ่ายแพ้อย่างสิ้นเชิงแล้ว ทำไมไม่เป็นฝ่ายถูกรังแก? ทำไมไม่เป็นฝ่ายถูกโกง?

Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters.

แต่ท่านเองกลับโกงและรังแก ท่านทำสิ่งเหล่านี้กับพี่น้องของท่าน

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men^[a]

ท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าคนชั่วจะไม่มีส่วนในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า? อย่าหลงผิดเลย ไม่ว่าคนผิดศีลธรรมทางเพศ หรือคนกราบไหว้รูปเคารพ หรือคนคบชู้ หรือผู้ชายขายตัว หรือคนรักร่วมเพศ

nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

หรือขโมย หรือคนโลภ หรือคนขี้เมา หรือคนชอบนินทาว่าร้าย หรือคนฉ้อฉล จะไม่มีส่วนในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า

And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Sexual Immorality

และพวกท่านบางคนเคยเป็นเช่นนั้น แต่ท่านได้รับการล้าง ได้รับการชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ และได้ถูกนับเป็นผู้ชอบธรรมในพระนามพระเยซูคริสต์เจ้าและโดยพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าของเรา

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.

“ข้าพเจ้าได้รับอนุญาตให้ทำทุกสิ่งได้” แต่ไม่ใช่ทุกสิ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ “ข้าพเจ้าได้รับอนุญาตให้ทำทุกสิ่งได้” แต่ข้าพเจ้าจะไม่ยอมให้สิ่งใดมาเป็นนาย

You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

“อาหารมีไว้สำหรับท้อง และท้องมีไว้สำหรับอาหาร” แต่พระเจ้าจะทรงทำลายทั้งสองสิ่ง ร่างกายไม่ได้มีไว้เพื่อการผิดศีลธรรมทางเพศ แต่มีเพื่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ามีเพื่อกายนั้น

By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.

โดยฤทธิ์อำนาจของพระองค์ พระเจ้าทรงให้องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเป็นขึ้นจากตาย และพระองค์จะทรงให้เราทั้งหลายเป็นขึ้นใหม่ด้วย

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!

พวกท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าร่างกายของท่านเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในพระกายของพระคริสต์? เช่นนี้แล้วควรหรือที่ข้าพเจ้าจะนำร่างกายไปรวมเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกับโสเภณี? ไม่เป็นเช่นนั้นแน่!

Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”^[b]

ท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าผู้ที่ไปหลับนอนกับโสเภณีก็เป็นหนึ่งเดียวกับหญิงนั้นทางร่างกาย? เพราะมีคำกล่าวไว้ว่า “ทั้งสองจะเป็นเนื้อเดียวกัน”^[b]

But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.^[c]

แต่คนที่รวมตนเองเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกับองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าก็เป็นหนึ่งเดียวกับพระองค์ในจิตวิญญาณ

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.

จงหลีกหนีจากการผิดศีลธรรมทางเพศ บาปอื่นทั้งปวงที่มนุษย์ทำล้วนเป็นบาปนอกกายของตน แต่คนที่ทำบาปทางเพศก็ทำบาปต่อร่างกายของตนเอง

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

ท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าร่างกายของท่านเป็นวิหารของพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ผู้สถิตในท่านซึ่งท่านได้รับจากพระเจ้า? ท่านไม่ใช่เจ้าของตัวท่านเอง

you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

พระเจ้าทรงซื้อท่านไว้ด้วยราคาสูง เหตุฉะนั้นจงถวายเกียรติแด่พระเจ้าด้วยร่างกายของท่านเถิด
