1 Corinthians 12

Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.

พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าไม่อยากให้ท่านไม่รู้เรื่องเกี่ยวกับของประทานฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณ

You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.

ท่านก็รู้อยู่ว่าเมื่อท่านยังไม่เชื่อพระเจ้า ท่านได้ถูกชักจูงโดยทางหนึ่งทางใดให้หลงผิดไปพึ่งรูปเคารพที่พูดไม่ได้

Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

ฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าขอบอกท่านว่าไม่มีใครที่กล่าวโดยพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าจะพูดว่า “ขอให้พระเยซูถูกแช่ง” และไม่มีใครสามารถพูดได้ว่า “พระเยซูทรงเป็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า” นอกจากผู้ที่กล่าวโดยพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.

ของประทานมีหลายชนิด แต่พระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกันเป็นผู้ประทาน

There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.

งานรับใช้มีหลายประเภท แต่รับใช้องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าองค์เดียวกัน

There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

การงานมีต่างๆ กัน แต่พระเจ้าองค์เดียวกันทรงกระทำการทั้งหมดในคนทั้งปวง

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

การสำแดงของพระวิญญาณมีแก่แต่ละคนเพื่อประโยชน์ร่วมกัน

To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,

คนหนึ่งได้รับถ้อยคำแห่งสติปัญญาโดยพระวิญญาณ ส่วนอีกคนหนึ่งได้รับถ้อยคำแห่งความรู้โดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน

to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,

อีกคนได้รับของประทานแห่งความเชื่อโดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน ส่วนอีกคนมีของประทานในการรักษาโรคโดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกันนั้น

to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,^[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.^[b]

คนหนึ่งได้รับฤทธิ์เดชอันอัศจรรย์ อีกคนเผยพระวจนะได้ คนหนึ่งสังเกตแยกแยะวิญญาณต่างๆ ได้ ส่วนอีกคนสามารถพูดภาษาแปลกๆ^[a] และอีกคนแปลภาษาแปลกๆได้

All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

Unity and Diversity in the Body

ทั้งหมดนี้ล้วนเป็นการงานของพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน และพระองค์ประทานสิ่งเหล่านี้ให้แก่แต่ละคนตามที่ทรงกำหนดไว้

หลายส่วนในกายเดียวกัน

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.

กายนั้นเป็นกายเดียวแม้จะประกอบด้วยอวัยวะหลายส่วน และแม้อวัยวะทั้งหมดจะมีหลายส่วนก็ประกอบกันเป็นกายเดียว พระคริสต์ก็เช่นกัน

For we were all baptized by^[c] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

เพราะเราทั้งหมดก็รับบัพติศมาโดย^[b]พระวิญญาณองค์เดียวเข้าเป็นกายเดียวกัน ไม่ว่าเราจะเป็นยิวหรือกรีก เป็นทาสหรือเป็นไท และเราทั้งหมดก็ได้รับพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน

Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

กายนั้นไม่ได้ประกอบด้วยอวัยวะเดียว แต่ประกอบด้วยหลายอวัยวะ

Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.

หากเท้าจะพูดว่า “เพราะฉันไม่ใช่มือ ฉันจึงไม่ได้เป็นของร่างกายนั้น” นั่นไม่ใช่เหตุผลที่ทำให้เท้าเลิกเป็นอวัยวะของร่างกายนั้น

And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.

และหากหูจะพูดว่า “เพราะฉันไม่ใช่ตา ฉันจึงไม่ได้เป็นของร่างกายนั้น” นั่นไม่ใช่เหตุผลที่ทำให้หูเลิกเป็นอวัยวะของร่างกายนั้น

If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?

หากทั้งร่างกายเป็นตา การได้ยินจะอยู่ที่ไหน? หากทั้งร่างกายเป็นหู การได้กลิ่นจะอยู่ที่ไหน?

But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.

แต่ที่จริงพระเจ้าทรงจัดอวัยวะต่างๆ ทุกๆ ส่วนไว้ในร่างกายตามที่ทรงประสงค์

If they were all one part, where would the body be?

ถ้าทั้งหมดเป็นอวัยวะเดียว ร่างกายจะมีที่ไหน?

As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

เช่นนั้นแหละมีหลายอวัยวะแต่เป็นกายเดียวกัน

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”

ตาไม่อาจพูดกับมือว่า “ฉันไม่ต้องการเธอ!” และศีรษะไม่อาจพูดกับเท้าว่า “ฉันไม่ต้องการเธอ!”

On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,

ในทางตรงกันข้ามอวัยวะต่างๆ ที่ดูเหมือนว่าอ่อนแอกว่าก็เสียไม่ได้

and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty,

และอวัยวะที่เราคิดว่าไม่ค่อยมีเกียรติ เรายังให้เกียรติเป็นพิเศษ และอวัยวะที่ไม่น่าดู เราก็ดูแลเป็นพิเศษ

while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it,

ส่วนอวัยวะที่น่าดูอยู่แล้วไม่ต้องดูแลเป็นพิเศษ แต่พระเจ้าทรงรวมอวัยวะต่างๆ ของร่างกายเข้าด้วยกัน และอวัยวะที่ไร้เกียรตินั้นพระองค์ทรงให้เกียรติมากขึ้น

so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.

เพื่อจะไม่มีการแตกแยกกันในร่างกาย แต่เพื่อให้อวัยวะต่างๆ ห่วงใยกันอย่างเท่าเทียมกัน

If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

ถ้าอวัยวะหนึ่งเจ็บ ทุกส่วนก็พลอยเจ็บด้วย ถ้าอวัยวะหนึ่งมีเกียรติ ทุกส่วนก็ร่วมชื่นชมยินดีด้วย

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

ท่านทั้งหลายเป็นกายของพระคริสต์ พวกท่านแต่ละคนเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกายนั้น

And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.

และในคริสตจักร พระเจ้าได้ทรงแต่งตั้งอัครทูตเป็นอันดับแรก อันดับที่สองคือผู้เผยพระวจนะ อันดับที่สามคือผู้สอน จากนั้นคือผู้ทำการอัศจรรย์ ผู้มีของประทานในการรักษาโรค ผู้สามารถช่วยเหลือผู้อื่น ผู้มีของประทานในการบริหารงาน และผู้พูดภาษาแปลกๆ

Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?

ทุกคนเป็นอัครทูตหรือ? ทุกคนเป็นผู้เผยพระวจนะหรือ? ทุกคนเป็นผู้สอนหรือ? ทุกคนทำการอัศจรรย์หรือ?

Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues^[d]? Do all interpret?

ทุกคนมีของประทานในการรักษาโรคหรือ? ทุกคนพูดภาษาแปลกๆ^[c]หรือ? ทุกคนแปลได้หรือ?

Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.

Love Is Indispensable

And yet I will show you the most excellent way.

แต่ให้เราใฝ่หา^[d]ของประทานที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่านี้

ความรัก

และบัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าจะสำแดงหนทางที่ดีเยี่ยมที่สุดแก่ท่าน
