Ezekiel 12

The word of the Lord came to me:

Apoi Cuvântul Domnului a venit la mine şi mi-a zis:

“Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.

„Fiul omului, tu locuieşti în mijlocul unei Case răzvrătite. Ei au ochi să vadă, dar nu văd şi au urechi să audă, dar nu aud, căci sunt un neam de răzvrătiţi.

“Therefore, son of man, pack your belongings for exile and in the daytime, as they watch, set out and go from where you are to another place. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious people.

De aceea, fiul omului, fă-ţi bagajul ca pentru exil şi, în timpul zilei, de faţă cu ei, fă-te că pleci în captivitate. Pleacă în văzul lor din locuinţa ta spre un alt loc! Poate vor înţelege că sunt o Casă răzvrătită.

During the daytime, while they watch, bring out your belongings packed for exile. Then in the evening, while they are watching, go out like those who go into exile.

Să-ţi scoţi afară bagajul ca pentru exil, în timpul zilei, ca să te vadă! Apoi să pleci seara, în văzul lor, cum pleacă exilaţii.

While they watch, dig through the wall and take your belongings out through it.

Să faci o gaură în zid de faţă cu ei şi să scoţi bagajul pe acolo.

Put them on your shoulder as they are watching and carry them out at dusk. Cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have made you a sign to the Israelites.”

Să-l pui pe umăr, în văzul lor, şi să pleci în amurg. Să-ţi acoperi faţa, ca astfel să nu vezi pământul, căci te fac un semn pentru cei din Casa lui Israel.“

So I did as I was commanded. During the day I brought out my things packed for exile. Then in the evening I dug through the wall with my hands. I took my belongings out at dusk, carrying them on my shoulders while they watched.

Am făcut cum mi se poruncise. Mi-am scos afară bagajul în timpul zilei, ca pentru exil, iar seara am făcut o gaură în zid cu propriile mele mâini. Am ieşit în amurg şi mi-am pus pe umăr bagajul, în văzul lor.

In the morning the word of the Lord came to me:

Dimineaţa, Cuvântul Domnului a venit la mine şi mi-a zis:

“Son of man, did not the Israelites, that rebellious people, ask you, ‘What are you doing?’

„Fiul omului, nu te-a întrebat această Casă a lui Israel, această Casă răzvrătită: «Ce faci?»

“Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: This prophecy concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the Israelites who are there.’

Să le spui: «Aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: ‘Profeţia aceasta se referă la prinţul din Ierusalim şi la toţi cei din Casa lui Israel care locuiesc acolo.»’

Say to them, ‘I am a sign to you.’

“As I have done, so it will be done to them. They will go into exile as captives.

Spune-le astfel: «Eu sunt un semn pentru voi! Cum am făcut eu, aşa li se va face şi lor. Vor merge captivi în exil.

“The prince among them will put his things on his shoulder at dusk and leave, and a hole will be dug in the wall for him to go through. He will cover his face so that he cannot see the land.

În amurg, prinţul lor îşi va pune pe umăr bagajul ca să plece. El va face o gaură în zid ca să iasă, după care îşi va acoperi faţa ca să nu vadă pământul.

I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare; I will bring him to Babylonia, the land of the Chaldeans, but he will not see it, and there he will die.

Eu însă Îmi voi arunca năvodul peste el şi el va fi prins în plasa Mea; îl voi aduce în Babilon, în ţara caldeenilor, fără însă să o poată vedea; şi va muri acolo.

I will scatter to the winds all those around him—his staff and all his troops—and I will pursue them with drawn sword.

Pe toţi cei din jurul lui – ajutoarele şi toate trupele lui – îi voi împrăştia în toate vânturile şi îi voi urmări cu sabia.

“They will know that I am the Lord, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries.

Când îi voi împrăştia printre neamuri şi-i voi risipi în ţări străine, vor şti că Eu sunt Domnul.

But I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine and plague, so that in the nations where they go they may acknowledge all their detestable practices. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

Voi scăpa însă de sabie, de foamete şi de molimă un anumit număr de bărbaţi, ca să istorisească despre toate urâciunile lor printre neamurile unde vor ajunge. Şi vor şti atunci că Eu sunt Domnul.»“

The word of the Lord came to me:

Cuvântul Domnului a venit la mine şi mi-a zis:

“Son of man, tremble as you eat your food, and shudder in fear as you drink your water.

„Fiul omului, mănâncă-ţi pâinea tremurând şi bea-ţi apa cu teamă şi nelinişte!

Say to the people of the land: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.

Spune poporului din ţară: «Aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn despre locuitorii Ierusalimului şi despre ţara lui Israel: ‘Îşi vor mânca pâinea cu nelinişte şi îşi vor bea apa cu groază, căci ţara va fi jefuită de toate bunurile ei, din cauza violenţei tuturor celor ce locuiesc în ea.

The inhabited towns will be laid waste and the land will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

There Will Be No Delay

Cetăţile locuite vor fi devastate, iar ţara va deveni o paragină. Şi vor şti atunci că Eu sunt Domnul.’»“

Judecata este aproape

The word of the Lord came to me:

Cuvântul Domnului a venit la mine şi mi-a zis:

“Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’?

„Fiul omului, ce este cu proverbul acesta pe care-l spuneţi în ţara lui Israel: «Zilele se lungesc şi fiecare viziune rămâne neîmplinită!»?

Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.’ Say to them, ‘The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.

De aceea spune-le astfel: «Aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: ‘Voi face să înceteze acest proverb şi nu-l vor mai spune în Israel!’» În schimb, spune-le astfel: «Zilele se scurtează şi fiecare viziune se va împlini.

For there will be no more false visions or flattering divinations among the people of Israel.

Căci nu vor mai fi viziuni false şi nici preziceri linguşitoare în mijlocul Casei lui Israel.

But I the Lord will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, you rebellious people, I will fulfill whatever I say, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

Eu, Domnul, vorbesc, iar cuvântul pe care-l spun se va împlini şi nu va mai întârzia, deoarece chiar în zilele tale, Casă răzvrătită, voi împlini ceea ce am spus! zice Stăpânul Domn.»“

The word of the Lord came to me:

Cuvântul Domnului a venit la mine şi mi-a zis:

“Son of man, the Israelites are saying, ‘The vision he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies about the distant future.’

„Fiul omului, cei din Casa lui Israel spun că viziunea pe care o vezi tu se va împlini peste mult timp şi că tu, de fapt, profeţeşti cu privire la nişte vremuri îndepărtate.

“Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

De aceea spune-le astfel: «Aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: ‘Nu va mai întârzia nici un cuvânt de-al Meu! Ceea ce am spus se va împlini! zice Stăpânul Domn.’»“
