Verse 1

Praise the Lord.^[a]

Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights above.

هَلِّلُويَا! سَبِّحُوا الرَّبَّ مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ. سَبِّحُوهُ فِي الأَعَالِي.

Verse 2

Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his heavenly hosts.

سَبِّحُوهُ يَا جَمِيعَ مَلائِكَتِهِ. سَبِّحُوهُ يَا جَمِيعَ أَجْنَادِهِ.

Verse 3

Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.

سَبِّحِيهِ يَا شَمْسُ وَيَا قَمَرُ. سَبِّحِيهِ يَا جَمِيعَ الكَوَاكِبِ المُشْرِقَةِ.

Verse 4

Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies.

سَبِّحِيهِ يَا سَمَاءَ السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَيَا أَيَّتُهَا السُّحُبُ الَّتِي فَوْقَ الجَلَدِ.

Verse 5

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for at his command they were created,

لِتُسَبِّحْ هَذِهِ اسْمَ الرَّبِّ، لأَنَّهَا بِأَمْرِهِ خُلِقَتْ،

Verse 6

and he established them for ever and ever—
he issued a decree that will never pass away.

وَثَبَّتَهَا إِلَى الدَّهْرِ وَالأَبَدِ، وَاضِعاً لَهَا حَدّاً لَا تَتَجَاوَزُهُ.

Verse 7

Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,

سَبِّحِي الرَّبَّ مِنْ عَلَى الأَرْضِ يَا وُحُوشَ الْبَحْرِ وَيَا كُلَّ اللُّجَجِ.

Verse 8

lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,

أَيَّتُهَا النَّارُ وَالْبَرَدُ، وَالثَّلْجُ والضَّبَابُ، الرِّيحُ الْعَاصِفَةُ الْمُنَفِّذَةُ لأَمْرِهِ،

Verse 9

you mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,

الْجِبَالُ وَالتِّلالُ جَمِيعاً، الأَشْجَارُ الْمُثْمِرَةُ وَالأَرْزُ كُلُّهُ،

Verse 10

wild animals and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,

الْحَيْوَانَاتُ الْبَرِّيَّةُ وَالْمَوَاشِي كُلُّهَا، الزَّوَاحِفُ وَالطُّيُورُ.

Verse 11

kings of the earth and all nations,
you princes and all rulers on earth,

مُلُوكُ الأَرْضِ وَجَمِيعُ الشُّعُوبِ وَحُكَّامُ الأَرْضِ وَجَمِيعُ الرُّؤَسَاءِ،

Verse 12

young men and women,
old men and children.

الْفِتْيَانُ وَالْفَتَيَاتُ وَالشُّيُوخُ وَالشُّبَّانُ،

Verse 13

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.

لِيُسَبِّحُوا اسْمَ الرَّبِّ، لأَنَّهُ وَحْدَهُ مُتَعَالٍ. مَجْدُهُ فَوْقَ الأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتِ.

Verse 14

And he has raised up for his people a horn,^[b]
the praise of all his faithful servants,
of Israel, the people close to his heart.

Praise the Lord.

يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَ شَعْبِهِ إِكْرَاماً لِكُلِّ أَتْقِيَائِهِ، لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الشَّعْبِ الْمُقَرَّبِ إِلَيْهِ. هَلِّلُويَا.
