Exodus 25

The Lord said to Moses,

وَخَاطَبَ الرَّبُّ مُوسَى:

“Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.

كَلِّمْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنْ يَأْخُذُوا لِي تَقْدِمَةً مِنْ كُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ يَحُثُّهُ قَلْبُهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ.

These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze;

أَمَّا التَّقْدِمَاتُ الَّتِي تَأْخُذُونَهَا مِنْهُمْ فَهِيَ: ذَهَبٌ وَفِضَّةٌ وَنُحَاسٌ

blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;

وَأَقْمِشَةٌ زَرْقَاءُ وَبَنَفْسَجِيَّةٌ وَحَمْرَاءُ، وَمَنْسُوجَاتٌ كَتَّانِيَّةٌ وَشَعْرُ مِعْزَى،

ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather^[a]; acacia wood;

وَجُلُودُ كِبَاشٍ مُصَبَّغَةٌ بِالْحُمْرَةِ، وَجُلُودُ دَلافِينَ وَخَشَبُ السَّنْطِ،

olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;

وَزَيْتٌ لِلْمَنَارَةِ، وَأَطْيَابٌ لِدُهْنِ الْمَسْحَةِ وَلِلْبَخُورِ الْعَطِرِ

and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.

وَحِجَارَةُ جَزْعٍ كَرِيمَةٌ وَحِجَارَةٌ كَرِيمَةٌ أُخْرَى لِتَرْصِيعِ رِدَاءِ الْكَاهِنِ وَصُدْرَتِهِ.

“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.

فَيَصْنَعُونَ لِي مَقْدِساً حَيْثُ أُقِيمُ فِيهِ بَيْنَهُمْ.

Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.

The Ark

تَصْنَعُونَهُ حَسَبَ مِثَالِ الْمَسْكَنِ وَالآنِيَةِ الَّتِي أُرِيكَ.

تابوت العهد

“Have them make an ark^[b] of acacia wood—two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.^[c]

يَصْنَعُونَ تَابُوتاً مِنْ خَشَبِ السَّنْطِ، طُولُهُ ذِرَاعَانِ وَنِصْفٌ (نَحْوَ مِتْرٍ وَرُبْعِ الْمِتْرِ)، وَعَرْضُهُ ذِرَاعٌ وَنِصْفٌ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنْتِيمِتْراً) وَارْتِفَاعُهُ ذِرَاعٌ وَنِصْفٌ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنْتِيمِتْراً).

Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it.

وَتَضَعُ عَلَيْهِ غِشَاءً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ نَقِيٍّ مِنَ الدَّاخِلِ وَالْخَارِجِ، وَاجْعَلْ لَهُ إطَاراً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ،

Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other.

وَاسْبِكْ لَهُ أَرْبَعَ حَلَقَاتٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ تُثَبِّتُهَا عَلَى قَوَائِمِهِ الأَرْبَعِ حَلْقَتَيْنِ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍ،

Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.

وَتَصْنَعُ عَصَوَيْنِ مِنْ خَشَبِ السَّنْطِ تُغَشِّيهِمَا بِالذَّهَبِ،

Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry it.

ثُمَّ تُدْخِلُهُمَا فِي الحَلَقَاتِ الَّتِي عَلَى جَانِبَيِ التَّابُوتِ لِيُحْمَلَ بِهِمَا.

The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed.

وَتَبْقَى الْعَصَوَانِ فِي حَلَقَاتِ التَّابُوتِ، لَا تُنْزَعَانِ مِنْهَا.

Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you.

ثُمَّ تَضَعُ الشَّهَادَةَ الَّتِي أُعْطِيكَ فِي دَاخِلِ التَّابُوتِ.

وصف الكروبين

“Make an atonement cover of pure gold—two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.

وَتَصْنَعُ غِطَاءً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ خَالِصٍ، هُوَ كُرْسِيُّ الرَّحْمَةِ، طُولُهُ ذِرَاعَانِ وَنِصْفٌ (نَحْوَ مِتْرٍ وَرُبْعِ الْمِتْرِ) وَعَرْضُهُ ذِرَاعٌ وَنِصْفٌ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنْتِيمِتْراً)

And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover.

وَتَخْرِطُ كَرُوبَيْنِ (تِمْثَالَيْ مَلاكَيْنِ) مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَتُقِيمُهُمَا عَلَى طَرَفَيِ الْغِطَاءِ.

Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.

فَتَصْنَعُ كَرُوباً وَاحِداً عَلَى كُلِّ طَرَفٍ مِنَ الْغِطَاءِ، مَخْرُوطَيْنِ مِنَ الْغِطَاءِ نَفْسِهِ، وَقَائِمَيْنِ عَلَى طَرَفَيْهِ.

The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover.

وَيَكُونُ الْكَرُوبَانِ مُتَوَاجِهَيْنِ أَيْضاً، بَاسِطَيْنِ أَجْنِحَتَهُمَا إِلَى فَوْقُ، يُظَلِّلانِ بِهِمَا الْغِطَاءَ، وَيَتَّجِهَانِ بِوَجْهَيْهِمَا نَحْوَهُ.

Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you.

وَتَضَعُ الْغِطَاءَ فَوْقَ التَّابُوتِ الَّذِي تَحْتَفِظُ بِدَاخِلِهِ بِلَوْحَيِ الشَّهَادَةِ الَّتِي أُعْطِيكَ.

There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.

The Table

وَهُنَاكَ أَجْتَمِعُ بِكَ وَأُكَلِّمُكَ بِكُلِّ مَا أُوصِيكَ بِهِ لِتُبَلِّغَهُ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ عَلَى الْغِطَاءِ، مَا بَيْنَ الْكَرُوبَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَعْلُوَانِ تَابُوتَ الشَّهَادَةِ.

المائدة

“Make a table of acacia wood—two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.^[d]

وَكَذَلِكَ تَصْنَعُ مَائِدَةً مِنْ خَشَبِ السَّنْطِ طُولُهَا ذِرَاعَانِ (نَحْوَ مِتْرٍ) وَعَرْضُهَا ذِرَاعٌ (نَحْوَ خَمْسِينَ سَنْتِيمِتْراً) وَارْتِفَاعُهَا ذِرَاعٌ وَنِصْفٌ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنْتِيمِتْراً)

Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it.

وَغَشِّهَا بِالذَّهَبِ وَاصْنَعْ لَهَا إِطَاراً عَالِياً مِنَ الذَّهَبِ،

Also make around it a rim a handbreadth^[e] wide and put a gold molding on the rim.

وَاصْنَعْ لَهَا حَافَّةً حَوْلَهَا مِقْدَارُ عَرْضِهَا شِبْرٌ، وَاجْعَلْ لِمُحِيطِ الْحَافَةِ إطَاراً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ،

Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are.

وَاسْبِكْ لَهَا أَرْبَعَ حَلَقَاتٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ تُثَبِّتُهَا عَلَى زَوَايَا قَوَائِمِهَا الأَرْبَعِ،

The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table.

فَتَكُونُ الْحَلَقَاتُ المُثَبَّتَةُ عَلَى الْحَافَةِ، أَمَاكِنَ لِعَصَوَيْنِ تُحْمَلُ بِهِمَا الْمَائِدَةُ.

Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them.

وَتَصْنَعُ الْعَصَوَيْنِ مِنْ خَشَبِ السَّنْطِ وَتُغَشِّيهِمَا بِالذَّهَبِ لِتُحْمَلَ بِهِمَا الْمَائِدَةُ.

And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings.

وَأَمَّا صِحَافُ الْمَائِدَةِ وَصُحُونُهَا وَكُؤُوسُهَا وَأَبَارِيقُهَا الَّتِي يُسْكَبُ بِها، فَتَصُوغُهَا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ خَالِصٍ.

Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.

The Lampstand

وَتَضَعُ أَمَامِي خُبْزَ التَّقْدِمَةِ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْمَائِدَةِ دَائِماً.

المنارة

“Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them.

وَاخْرِطْ مَنَارَةً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ خَالِصٍ، فَتَكُونَ قَاعِدَتُهَا وَسَاقُهَا وَكَاسَاتُهَا وَبَرَاعِمُهَا وَأَزْهَارُهَا كُلُّهَا مَخْرُوطَةً مَعاً مِنْ قِطْعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ.

Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand—three on one side and three on the other.

وَتَتَشَعَّبُ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍ مِنْهَا ثَلاثَةُ أَفْرُعٍ،

Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand.

فِي كُلِّ شُعْبَةٍ ثَلاثُ كَاسَاتٍ بِبُرْعُمٍ وَزَهْرٍ، وَهَكَذَا إِلَى السِّتَّةِ الأَفْرُعِ الْمُتَشَعِّبَةِ مِنَ الْمَنَارَةِ.

And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms.

وَيَكُونُ عَلَى الْمَنَارَةِ أَرْبَعُ كَاسَاتٍ لَوْزِيَّةِ الشَّكْلِ بِبَرَاعِمِهَا وَأَزْهَارِهَا.

One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair—six branches in all.

وَتَجْعَلُ تَحْتَ فَرْعَيْنِ مِنَ الأَفْرُعِ الْمُتَشَعِّبَةِ مِنَ الْمَنَارَةِ بُرْعُماً. هَكَذَا تَفْعَلُ لِلسِّتَّةِ الْأَفْرُعٍ.

The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.

وَيَكُونُ سَاقُ الْمَنَارَةِ وَبَرَاعِمُهَا وَأَفْرُعُهَا كُلُّهَا قِطْعَةً وَاحِدَةً مَصْوغَةً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ خَالِصٍ.

“Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it.

ثُمَّ اصْنَعْ سَبْعَةَ سُرُجٍ لِلْمَنَارَةِ، وَاجْعَلْهَا عَلَيْهَا بِحَيْثُ تُضِيءُ أَمَامَهَا.

Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold.

وَلْتَكُنْ مَلاقِطُهَا وَمَنَافِضُهَا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ خَالِصٍ.

A talent^[f] of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories.

فَيَكُونَ وَزْنُ الذَّهَبِ الْخَالِصِ الْمُصَاغِ لِصُنْعِ الْمَنَارَةِ وَجَمِيعِ أَوَانِيهَا وَزْنَةً وَاحِدَةً (نَحْوَ سِتَّةٍ وَثَلاثِينَ كِيلُو جِرَاماً)

See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.

وَاحْرِصْ أَنْ يَكُونَ كُلُّ مَا تَصْنَعُهُ مُطَابِقاً لِلْمِثَالِ الَّذِي أَظْهَرْتُهُ لَكَ عَلَى الْجَبَلِ.
