Ephesians 3

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

لِهَذَا السَّبَبِ، أَنَا بُولُسَ سَجِينُ الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ لأَجْلِكُمْ أَنْتُمُ الأُمَمَ،

Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you,

عَلَى اعْتِبَارِ أَنَّكُمْ قَدْ سَمِعْتُمْ بِتَدْبِيرِ نِعْمَةِ اللهِ الْمَوْهُوبَةِ لِي لأَجْلِكُمْ:

that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

كَيْفَ كُشِفَ لِيَ السِّرُّ عَنْ طَرِيقِ الْوَحْيِ، كَمَا كَتَبْتُ قَبْلاً بِإِيجَازٍ،

In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,

وَيُمْكِنُكُمْ، حِينَمَا تَقْرَأُونَ مَا كَتَبْتُهُ، أَنْ تُدْرِكُوا اطِّلاعِي الْعَمِيقَ عَلَى سِرِّ الْمَسِيحِ،

which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.

ذَلِكَ السِّرِّ الَّذِي لَمْ يُطْلَعْ عَلَيْهِ بَنُو الْبَشَرِ فِي الأَجْيَالِ الْمَاضِيَةِ مِثْلَمَا أُعْلِنَ الآنَ بِوَحْيِ الرُّوحِ لِرُسُلِهِ الْقِدِّيسِينَ وَأَنْبِيَائِهِ:

This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

وَهُوَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ الْيَهُودِ هُمْ شُرَكَاءُ الْيَهُودِ فِي الْمِيرَاثِ، وَأَعْضَاءٌ فِي الْجَسَدِ مَعَهُمْ، وَلَهُمْ أَيْضاً حَقُّ الاسْتِفَادَةِ مِنَ الْوَعْدِ. وَذَلِكَ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ وَبِفَضْلِ الإِنْجِيلِ

I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.

الَّذِي صِرْتُ أَنَا خَادِماً لَهُ بِحَسَبِ نِعْمَةِ اللهِ الْمَوْهُوبَةِ لِي وَفْقاً لِعَمَلِ قُدْرَتِهِ.

Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,

فَلِي، أَنَا الأَصْغَرَ مِنْ أَصْغَرِ الْقِدِّيسِينَ جَمِيعاً، وُهِبَتْ هَذِهِ النِّعْمَةُ: أَنْ أُذِيعَ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ بِشَارَةَ غِنَى الْمَسِيحِ الَّذِي لَا يُحَدُّ،

and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.

وَأُنِيرَ الْجَمِيعَ بِمَعْرِفَةِ مَا هُوَ تَدْبِيرُ السِّرِّ الَّذِي أَبْقَاهُ اللهُ، خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، مَكْتُوماً مَدَى الأَجْيَالِ.

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

وَالْغَايَةُ أَنْ يَتَجَلَّى الآنَ أَمَامَ الرِّئَاسَاتِ وَالسُّلُطَاتِ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ مَا يَظْهَرُ فِي الْكَنِيسَةِ مِنْ حِكْمَةِ اللهِ الْمُتَعَدِّدَةِ الْوُجُوهِ،

according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

وَفْقاً لِلْقَصْدِ الأَزَلِيِّ الَّذِي قَصَدَهُ اللهُ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ رَبِّنَا،

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

الَّذِي بِهِ لَنَا جُرْأَةٌ وَاقْتِرَابٌ وَاثِقٌ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ الإِيمَانِ بِهِ

I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

A Prayer for the Ephesians

فَلِذَلِكَ أَطْلُبُ إِلَيْكُمْ أَلّا يَفْتُرَ عَزْمُكُمْ بِسَبَبِ الضِّيقَاتِ الَّتِي أُقَاسِيهَا لأَجْلِكُمْ، فَهِيَ مَفْخَرَةٌ لَكُمْ.

صلاة من أجل أهل أفسس

For this reason I kneel before the Father,

وَلِهَذَا السَّبَبِ أَحْنِي رُكْبَتَيَّ لِلآبِ

from whom every family^[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name.

الَّذِي هُوَ أَصْلُ كُلِّ أُبُوَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَعَلَى الأَرْضِ،

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

لِكَيْ يَمْنَحَكُمْ، وَفْقاً لِغِنَى مَجْدِهِ، أَنْ يُمِدَّ الرُّوحُ الكِيَانَ الدَّاخِلِيَّ فِي كُلٍّ مِنْكُمْ بِالْقُوَّةِ الْمُؤَيِّدَةِ،

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,

لِيَسْكُنَ الْمَسِيحُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ بِالإِيمَانِ؛ حَتَّى إِذَا تَأَصَّلْتُمْ وَتَأَسَّسْتُمْ فِي الْمَحَبَّةِ،

may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

تَصِيرُونَ قَادِرِينَ تَمَاماً أَنْ تُدْرِكُوا، مَعَ الْقِدِّيسِينَ جَمِيعاً، مَا هُوَ الْعَرْضُ وَالطُّولُ وَالْعُلْوُ وَالْعُمْقُ،

and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

وَتَعْرِفُوا مَحَبَّةَ الْمَسِيحِ الَّتِي تَفُوقُ الْمَعْرِفَةَ، فَتَمْتَلِئُوا حَتَّى تَبْلُغُوا مِلْءَ اللهِ كُلَّهُ.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

وَالْقَادِرُ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ، وَفْقاً لِلْقُدْرَةِ الْعَامِلَةِ فِينَا، مَا يَفُوقُ بِلا حَصْرٍ كُلَّ مَا نَطْلُبُ أَوْ نَتَصَوَّرُ،

to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

لَهُ الْمَجْدُ فِي الْكَنِيسَةِ، فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، مَدَى الأَجْيَالِ وَالدُّهُورِ! آمِينَ.
