Verse 1
Job continued his discourse:
Nagpadayon pa gid si Job sa paghambal,
Verse 2
“How I long for the months gone by,
for the days when God watched over me,
for the days when God watched over me,
“Kon mabalik lang kuntani ang mga nagligad nga mga inadlaw sang ginabantayan pa ako sang Dios,
Verse 3
when his lamp shone on my head
and by his light I walked through darkness!

sang ginasanagan pa niya ang akon dalanon samtang nagalakat ako sa madulom.
Verse 4
Oh, for the days when I was in my prime,
when God’s intimate friendship blessed my house,

Sadtong tion nga maayo pa ang akon kahimtangan, ang Dios amo ang akon suod nga abyan, kag ginapakamaayo niya ang akon panimalay.
Verse 5
when the Almighty was still with me
and my children were around me,

Ginaupdan pa ako sadto sang Makagagahom nga Dios, kag kaupod ko pa ang akon mga anak.

when my path was drenched with cream
and the rock poured out for me streams of olive oil.

Sadto nga tion, ang akon mga baka nagahatag sang madamo gid nga gatas, kag ang akon mga talamnan sang olibo nagahatag sang madamo gid nga lana.

“When I went to the gate of the city
and took my seat in the public square,

Kon magkadto gani ako sa puwertahan sang banwa, kag mag-upod sa mga manugdumala sang banwa kon magmiting sila,

Ang bisan sin-o nga nakakita sa akon ukon nakabati sa akon maghambal, nagadayaw sa akon.

Kay ginabuligan ko ang mga imol nga nagapangayo sang bulig kag ang mga ilo nga wala sing dalangpan.

The one who was dying blessed me;
I made the widow’s heart sing.

Ginapakamaayo ako sang tagumatayon nga mga tawo nga akon ginbuligan, kag nalipay gid ang mga balo nga babayi nga akon man ginbuligan.

I put on righteousness as my clothing;
justice was my robe and my turban.

Ginahimo ko permi ang matarong kag husto; daw bayo kag turban ini nga akon ginasuksok.

I was eyes to the blind
and feet to the lame.

Nangin pareho ako sang mata sa tawo nga bulag kag tiil sa tawo nga piang.

I was a father to the needy;
I took up the case of the stranger.

Nangin pareho ako sang isa ka amay sa mga imol, kag bisan ang mga estranghero ginbuligan ko sa ila mga kaso.

I broke the fangs of the wicked
and snatched the victims from their teeth.

Gindula ko ang gahom sang malaot nga mga tawo kag ginluwas ang ila mga biktima.

“I thought, ‘I will die in my own house,
my days as numerous as the grains of sand.

“Naghunahuna ako nga magakabuhi ako sing malawig kag mapatay nga ginalibutan sang akon pamilya.
Verse 19
My roots will reach to the water,
and the dew will lie all night on my branches.

Kay pareho ako sadto sang mabakod nga kahoy nga nagapangalapkap ang mga gamot sa tubig kag permi ginatun-ogan ang mga sanga.
Verse 20
My glory will not fade;
the bow will be ever new in my hand.’

Ginadayaw ako permi sang mga tawo kag permi ako mabaskog.
Verse 21
“People listened to me expectantly,
waiting in silence for my counsel.

Nagahipos ang mga tawo kag nagapamati sing maayo sa akon mga laygay.

After I had spoken, they spoke no more;
my words fell gently on their ears.

Pagkatapos ko hambal, wala na sila sang may idugang pa kay kontento sila sa akon ginhambal.

They waited for me as for showers
and drank in my words as the spring rain.

Ginahandom nila ang akon mga pulong pareho sang ila paghandom sa ulan. Gusto gid nila ini nga pamatian.

Daw indi sila makapati kon magyuhom ako sa ila;[a] ang akon malipayon nga nawong nakapabaskog sa ila.

I chose the way for them and sat as their chief;
I dwelt as a king among his troops;
I was like one who comforts mourners.

Ginatudluan ko sila sang ila himuon pareho sa isa ka pangulo. Ginadumalahan ko sila pareho sa isa ka hari nga nagadumala sa iya mga soldado. Ginalipay ko sila kon nagakasubo sila.
