John 12

Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

За шесть дней до праздника Освобождения Иса пришёл в Вифанию, туда, где жил Элеазар, которого Он воскресил из мёртвых.

Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him.

Здесь в честь Исы был устроен обед. Марфа накрывала на стол, и Элеазар вместе с другими гостями и Исой тоже возлежал у стола.

Then Mary took about a pint^[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

Марьям в это время взяла кувшин^[a] чистого нардового^[b] масла, которое стоило очень дорого, и вылила его на ноги Исе. Потом она стала вытирать Его ноги своими волосами. Весь дом наполнился ароматом масла.

But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected,

Иуда Искариот, один из учеников Исы, который впоследствии предал Его, возмутился:

“Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.^[b]”

– Почему было не продать это масло за триста серебряных монет^[c] и не раздать деньги нищим?

He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

Он говорил это не потому, что заботился о нищих, а потому, что был вор. Ему был доверен ящик с общими деньгами, и он брал из него на свои нужды.

“Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.

– Оставь её, – сказал Иса, – она должна была сохранить этот бальзам на день Моего погребения.

You will always have the poor among you,^[c] but you will not always have me.”

Нищие всегда будут с вами, а Я не всегда буду с вами.

Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

Тем временем множество иудеев узнало, что Иса там. Они пришли не только для того, чтобы увидеть Ису, но и посмотреть на Элеазара, которого Иса воскресил из мёртвых.

So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well,

Главные же священнослужители решили убить и Элеазара,

for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King

потому что из-за него многие иудеи приходили к Исе и верили в Него.

The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.

На следующий день многочисленная толпа, пришедшая на праздник Освобождения, услышала о том, что Иса идёт в Иерусалим.

They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,

Люди взяли пальмовые ветви^[d] и вышли Ему навстречу с возгласами:

Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written:

At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.

Вначале ученики Исы ничего не могли понять. Только после того, как Он был прославлен, они поняли, что сбылось написанное о Нём.

Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word.

Люди, бывшие с Исой, когда Он вызвал Элеазара из могилы, воскресив его из мёртвых, продолжали рассказывать об этом случае.

Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him.

Потому и вышла встречать Ису целая толпа, что все хотели увидеть Человека, сотворившего такое знамение.

So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

Jesus Predicts His Death

Блюстители Закона с досадой говорили друг другу:

– Ничего не помогает. Весь мир идёт за Ним!

Иса Масих говорит о Своей смерти

Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival.

Среди пришедших на праздник для поклонения было несколько греков.

They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.”

Они подошли к Филиппу, ученику Исы, который был родом из Вифсаиды в Галилее, и попросили:

– Господин, мы бы хотели увидеть Ису.

Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.

Филипп пошёл к Андеру, и они вдвоём подошли и сказали об этом Исе.

Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

Иса ответил:

– Настал час прославиться Ниспосланному как Человек.

Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

Говорю вам истину: если пшеничное зерно не упадёт в землю и не умрёт, то оно останется одним зерном. Если же оно умрёт, то из него произойдёт много зёрен.

Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Тот, кто любит свою жизнь, тот потеряет её, но кто возненавидит свою жизнь в этом мире, тот сохранит её для вечной жизни.

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

Тот, кто служит Мне, должен и следовать за Мной. И где Я, там будет и Мой слуга. И Отец Мой прославит того, кто служит Мне.

“Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.

Сейчас Моя душа взволнована. Что Я могу сказать? Сказать ли: «Отец, избавь Меня от этого часа»? Но ведь для этого часа Я и пришёл!

Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

Отец, прославь имя Твоё!

И с небес раздался голос:

– Прославил и ещё прославлю!

The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.

Народ, который там стоял и слышал, говорил, что это гром, но некоторые утверждали, что это ангел говорил с Ним.

Jesus said, “This voice was for your benefit, not mine.

Иса сказал:

– Этот голос был не для Меня, а для вас.

Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.

Теперь настало время суда для мира, и Шайтан, князь этого греховного мира, будет изгнан вон.

And I, when I am lifted up^[g] from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

Но когда Я буду поднят от земли, Я всех привлеку к Себе.

He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.

Это Он сказал, давая им понять, какой смертью Он умрёт.

The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain forever, so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”

Толпа ответила Ему:

– Мы слышали из Писания, что Масих вечно жив.^[j] Как же Ты можешь говорить, что «Ниспосланный как Человек будет поднят»? И что тогда из Себя представляет Ниспосланный как Человек?

Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.

Тогда Иса сказал им:

– Ещё совсем недолго Свет будет с вами. Ходите, пока есть Свет и пока вас не покрыла тьма. А тот, кто ходит во тьме, не знает, куда он идёт.

Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.

Belief and Unbelief Among the Jews

Верьте в Свет, пока Свет есть, чтобы вам стать сынами Света.

Закончив говорить, Иса ушёл и скрылся от них.

Неверие народа и страх перед гонениями

Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him.

Даже после того как Иса сотворил перед ними столько знамений, они не верили в Него.

This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet:

Так исполнились слова пророка Исаии:

For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:

Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.

Исаия сказал это потому, что он видел славу Масиха и говорил о Нём.^[m]

Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;

Впрочем даже среди начальников многие поверили в Ису, хотя из боязни, что блюстители Закона отлучат их от общества, они не говорили о своей вере.

for they loved human praise more than praise from God.

Похвала людей была для них дороже одобрения Аллаха.

Важность принятия слов Исы Масиха

Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.

Иса воскликнул:

– Когда человек верит в Меня, он верит не только в Меня, но и в Пославшего Меня.

The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me.

Когда он смотрит на Меня, он видит Того, Кто послал Меня.

I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

Я – свет, и Я пришёл в мир, чтобы никто из тех, кто верит в Меня, не остался во тьме.

“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

Я не сужу того, кто слушает Мои слова, но не делает того, что Я говорю. Ведь Я пришёл не судить мир, а спасти его.

There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.

Для того, кто отвергает Меня и не принимает Моих слов, есть судья; Моё слово будет судить его в Последний день.

For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.

Я ведь не от Себя говорил, но Отец, Который послал Меня, повелел Мне, что говорить и как говорить.

I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

Я знаю, что Его повеление ведёт к вечной жизни. Поэтому то, что говорю, Я говорю так, как сказал Мне Отец.
