Verse 1

Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.

Аллах благословил Нуха и его сыновей, и сказал им:

– Плодитесь и размножайтесь, и наполняйте землю.

Verse 2

The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands.

Пусть страх и ужас перед вами охватит всех зверей земных и всех птиц небесных, всех пресмыкающихся и всех морских рыб: они отданы вам в руки.

Verse 3

Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

Всё, что живёт и движется, будет вам в пищу. Как прежде Я дал вам зелёные растения, так и теперь Я отдаю вам всё.

Verse 4

“But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.

Но не ешьте мяса, в котором ещё есть кровь.

Verse 5

And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.

И за вашу кровь Я непременно потребую расплаты. Я потребую расплаты за неё с каждого животного, и со всякого человека Я тоже потребую ответа за жизнь его ближнего.

Verse 6

“Whoever sheds human blood,
by humans shall their blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made mankind.

Кто бы ни пролил кровь человека, –
рукою человека прольётся и его кровь.
Потому что человек создан
по образу Всевышнего.

Verse 7

As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.”

Вы же плодитесь и размножайтесь, расселяйтесь на земле и умножайтесь на ней.

Verse 8

Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:

Потом Аллах сказал Нуху и его сыновьям:

Verse 9

“I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you

– Ныне Я заключаю священное соглашение с вами и вашими потомками,

Verse 10

and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth.

и со всяким живым существом, которое было с вами, – птица ли, скот или дикий зверь – со всеми, кто вышел с вами из ковчега, и с каждым зверем на земле.

Verse 11

I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

Я заключаю с вами священное соглашение:

никогда впредь всё живое не будет истреблено водами потопа;
никогда впредь не будет потоп губить землю.

Verse 12

And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:

Аллах сказал:

– Вот знак священного соглашения, которое Я заключаю на все времена между Мной и вами, и каждым живым существом, которое с вами.

Verse 13

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

Я ставлю в облаках Мою радугу, и она будет знаком священного соглашения между Мной и землёй.

Verse 14

Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,

Когда бы Я ни навёл облака на землю, в облаках появится радуга,

Verse 15

I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.

и Я вспомню Моё священное соглашение между Мной и вами, и каждым живым существом: никогда впредь воды не прольются потопом, чтобы погубить всё живое.

Verse 16

Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

Всякий раз, когда радуга появится в облаках, Я увижу её и вспомню вечное священное соглашение между Мной и всеми живыми существами, какие есть на земле.

Verse 17

So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”

The Sons of Noah

Так Аллах сказал Нуху:

– Вот знак священного соглашения, который Я заключил между Мной и всем живым на земле.

Сыновья Нуха

Verse 18

The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.)

Сыновья Нуха, вышедшие из ковчега, были Сим, Хам и Иафет (Хам – отец Ханаана).

Verse 19

These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the whole earth.

Эти трое – сыновья Нуха, и от них произошли люди, которые рассеялись по земле.

Verse 20

Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded^[a] to plant a vineyard.

Нух принялся возделывать землю и сажать виноград^[a].

Verse 21

When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent.

Однажды, выпив вина, он опьянел и лежал обнажённый в своём шатре.

Verse 22

Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside.

Хам, отец Ханаана, увидел наготу своего отца и, выйдя, рассказал об этом братьям.

Verse 23

But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked.

Но Сим и Иафет взяли одежду, положили её себе на плечи и, пятясь, вошли и прикрыли наготу отца. Их лица были обращены в другую сторону, чтобы им не увидеть наготы отца.

Verse 24

When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him,

Когда Нух проснулся уже трезвым и узнал, что сделал с ним младший сын,

Verse 25

he said,

“Cursed be Canaan!
The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers.”

он сказал:

– Будь проклят Ханаан!
Последним из рабов
будет он своим братьям.

Verse 26

He also said,

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem.

Ещё он сказал:

– Благословен Вечный, Бог Сима!
Да будет Ханаан рабом Сима.

Verse 27

May God extend Japheth’s^[b] territory;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”

Да расширит Аллах земли Иафета^[b];
да живёт Иафет в шатрах Сима,
и да будет Ханаан его рабом.

Verse 28

After the flood Noah lived 350 years.

После потопа Нух жил триста пятьдесят лет.

Verse 29

Noah lived a total of 950 years, and then he died.

Всего Нух прожил девятьсот пятьдесят лет.
