Exodus 24

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. You are to worship at a distance,

Затем Вечный сказал Мусе:

– Поднимись ко Мне с Харуном, Надавом, Авиудом и семьюдесятью старейшинами Исраила. Вы поклонитесь Мне издали,

but Moses alone is to approach the Lord; the others must not come near. And the people may not come up with him.”

но приблизится ко Мне один Муса – остальные пусть не приближаются. Народ пусть вообще не поднимается с ним.

When Moses went and told the people all the Lord’s words and laws, they responded with one voice, “Everything the Lord has said we will do.”

Когда Муса пришёл и передал народу слова и законы Вечного, народ ответил в один голос:

– Мы сделаем всё, как сказал Вечный.

Moses then wrote down everything the Lord had said.

He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel.

Муса записал всё, что сказал Вечный. На следующее утро он встал рано, построил жертвенник у подножия горы и поставил двенадцать каменных столбов по числу исраильских родов.

Then he sent young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed young bulls as fellowship offerings to the Lord.

Он послал двенадцать юношей исраильтян, и они принесли всесожжение Вечному и закололи в жертву примирения молодых быков.

Moses took half of the blood and put it in bowls, and the other half he splashed against the altar.

Муса взял половину жертвенной крови и налил её в чаши, а другой половиной окропил жертвенник.

Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded, “We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey.”

Он взял книгу священного соглашения и прочитал народу. И народ ответил:

– Мы сделаем всё, как сказал Вечный. Мы будем послушны.

Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, “This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

Муса взял оставшуюся кровь, окропил ею народ и сказал:

– Это кровь, скрепляющая священное соглашение, которое Вечный заключил с вами, дав вам эти законы.

Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up

Муса, Харун, Надав, Авиуд и семьдесят исраильских старейшин поднялись

and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky.

и увидели Бога Исраила. Под ногами у Него было нечто похожее на помост из сапфира, ясный, как само небо.

But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.

Но Аллах не поднял руку на вождей Исраила. Они видели Аллаха, ели и пили.

Муса поднимается на гору Синай

The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

Вечный сказал Мусе:

– Поднимись ко Мне на гору и останься здесь. Я дам тебе каменные таблички с Законом и повелениями, которые Я написал, как наставление этому народу.

Then Moses set out with Joshua his aide, and Moses went up on the mountain of God.

Муса тронулся в путь со своим помощником Иешуа и взошёл на гору Аллаха.

He said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we come back to you. Aaron and Hur are with you, and anyone involved in a dispute can go to them.”

Старейшинам он сказал:

– Ждите нас здесь, пока мы не вернёмся к вам. С вами Харун и Хур; любой, у кого будет спор, может пойти к ним.

When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it,

Когда Муса поднялся на гору, её окутало облако,

and the glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud.

и слава Вечного опустилась на гору Синай. Шесть дней облако окутывало гору, а на седьмой день Вечный позвал Мусу из облака.

To the Israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain.

Для исраильтян слава Вечного была подобна пожирающему огню на вершине горы.

Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

Муса вошёл в облако и поднялся на гору. Он оставался на горе сорок дней и сорок ночей.
