Acts 2

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

Наступил день праздника Жатвы^[a], и все ученики были вместе.

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Вдруг с небес послышался звук, напоминающий шум ураганного ветра, который заполнил весь дом, где они сидели.

They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.

Ученики увидели нечто похожее на огненные языки, которые разделились и остановились по одному на каждом из них.

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues^[a] as the Spirit enabled them.

Все они исполнились Святого Духа и начали говорить на разных языках: эту способность давал им Дух.

Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.

В Иерусалиме в это время находились благочестивые иудеи из разных стран.

When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken.

На шум собралось много народа; люди недоумевали, потому что каждый из них слышал, как те говорили на языке его страны.

Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?

В большом изумлении они спрашивали:

– Разве все эти люди не галилеяне?

Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?

Как же это каждый из нас слышит их говорящими на языках стран, в которых мы родились?

Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,^[b]

Среди нас есть парфяне, мидяне, еламиты, жители Месопотамии, Иудеи и Каппадокии, Понта и провинции Азия^[b],

Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome

Фригии и Памфилии, Египта, окрестностей Ливии, прилегающих к городу Кирене, жители Рима, иудеи и обращённые в иудаизм,

(both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”

критяне и арабы. И все мы слышим, как они говорят о великих делах Аллаха на наших языках!

Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”

Удивлённые и растерянные, они спрашивали друг друга:

– Что бы это могло значить?

Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”

Peter Addresses the Crowd

Некоторые же посмеивались:

– Они напились молодого вина!

Речь Петира перед народом

Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.

Петир поднялся вместе с другими одиннадцатью посланниками Масиха и, обращаясь к народу, громко сказал:

– Иудеи и все жители Иерусалима! Чтобы вам стало понятно, выслушайте внимательно, что я скажу.

These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!

Люди эти не пьяны, как вы думаете: сейчас ведь всего девять часов утра.

No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

“Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.

– Исраильтяне, выслушайте, что я вам скажу об Исе из Назарета: могущественные дела, чудеса и знамения Аллаха удостоверили вас в том, что это Он послал Ису. Как вы сами знаете, Аллах совершал всё это через Него у вас на глазах.

This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,^[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cross.

Его, преданного по замыслу и предведению Аллаха, вы, пригвоздив руками беззаконников, убили.

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

Но Аллах воскресил Его, освободив из плена смерти, и смерть была не в силах Его удержать.

David said about him:

“Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.

– Братья, разрешите мне сказать вам прямо, что праотец Давуд умер и был похоронен. Его могила сохранилась у нас до сегодняшнего дня.

But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

Он был пророком, и, зная, что Аллах клятвенно обещал ему возвести на его престол одного из его потомков,^[f]

Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.

он, видя будущее, говорил о воскресении Масиха, что Он не был оставлен в мире мёртвых и Его тело не увидело тления.^[g]

God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.

И вот Аллах воскресил Ису, и мы все этому свидетели!

Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

Он был вознесён и посажен по правую руку от Аллаха и, получив от Небесного Отца обещанного Святого Духа, совершил то, что вы сейчас видите и слышите.

For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

– Поэтому пусть весь дом Исраила будет уверен в том, что Этого Ису, Которого вы распяли, Аллах сделал и Повелителем, и Масихом!

When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

Когда люди услышали это, их сердца стали терзаться муками совести. Они спрашивали Петира и других посланников Масиха:

– Братья, что нам делать?

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Петир отвечал:

– Покайтесь и пусть каждый из вас пройдёт обряд погружения в воду^[i], призывая имя Исы Масиха, для прощения ваших грехов, и вы получите в дар Святого Духа.

The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

Ведь это обещание относится к вам, вашим детям и к тем, кто вдали: ко всем, кто будет призван Вечным, нашим Богом.

With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”

И многими другими словами Петир увещевал их, говоря:

– Спасайтесь от этого развращённого поколения.

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

The Fellowship of the Believers

Те, кто принял его проповедь, прошли через обряд погружения в воду. В тот день к числу уверовавших присоединилось около трёх тысяч человек.

Жизнь верующих

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Верующие твёрдо держались учения посланников Масиха, всегда пребывая в общении, в преломлении хлеба^[j] и в молитвах.

Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.

Все были полны трепета перед Аллахом, потому что много чудес и знамений совершалось через посланников Масиха.

All the believers were together and had everything in common.

Все верующие были вместе, и всё у них было общее.

They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

Они продавали свои владения и имущество и раздавали всем, в зависимости от нужды каждого.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,

Каждый день они собирались в храме, а по домам ежедневно преломляли хлеб и ели с радостью и искренностью в сердце,

praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

прославляя Аллаха и пользуясь добрым расположением всего народа. Вечный Повелитель ежедневно прибавлял к ним спасаемых.
