2 Kings 24

During Jehoiakim’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded the land, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. But then he turned against Nebuchadnezzar and rebelled.

Во время царствования Иоакима в страну вторгся царь Вавилона Навуходоносор^[a], и Иоаким стал подвластным ему на три года, но потом передумал и восстал против Навуходоносора.

The Lord sent Babylonian,^[a] Aramean, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against him to destroy Judah, in accordance with the word of the Lord proclaimed by his servants the prophets.

Вечный насылал на Иоакима вавилонских, сирийских, моавских и аммонитских разбойников. Он посылал их губить Иудею, по слову Вечного, сказанному Его рабами пророками.

Surely these things happened to Judah according to the Lord’s command, in order to remove them from his presence because of the sins of Manasseh and all he had done,

Конечно, всё это произошло с Иудеей по воле Вечного, чтобы удалить их от Него из-за грехов Манассы и всего, что тот сделал,

including the shedding of innocent blood. For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord was not willing to forgive.

в том числе, и за невинную кровь. Ведь он наполнил Иерусалим невинной кровью, и Вечный не желал прощать.

As for the other events of Jehoiakim’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?

Прочие события царствования Иоакима и всё, что он сделал, записано в «Книге летописей царей Иудеи».

Jehoiakim rested with his ancestors. And Jehoiachin his son succeeded him as king.

Иоаким упокоился со своими предками. И царём вместо него стал его сын Иехония.

The king of Egypt did not march out from his own country again, because the king of Babylon had taken all his territory, from the Wadi of Egypt to the Euphrates River.

Jehoiachin King of Judah

Царь Египта не выходил больше из своей страны, потому что царь Вавилона захватил все его земли от речки на границе Египта до реки Евфрата.

Иехония – царь Иудеи

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan; she was from Jerusalem.

Иехонии было восемнадцать лет, когда он стал царём, и правил он в Иерусалиме три месяца. Его мать звали Нехушта, она была дочерью Элнафана, родом из Иерусалима.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father had done.

Иехония делал зло в глазах Вечного, во всём уподобляясь своему отцу.

At that time the officers of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem and laid siege to it,

В то время военачальники Навуходоносора, царя Вавилона, двинулись на Иерусалим и осадили город.

and Nebuchadnezzar himself came up to the city while his officers were besieging it.

Сам Навуходоносор подошёл к городу, когда его осаждали военачальники.

Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him.

In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.

И Иехония, царь Иудеи, вместе с матерью, приближёнными, полководцами и придворными сдался ему.

На восьмом году своего правления царь Вавилона взял Иехонию в плен.

As the Lord had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed the treasures from the temple of the Lord and from the royal palace, and cut up the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the Lord.

Как и говорил Вечный, Навуходоносор забрал все сокровища из храма Вечного и из царского дворца и порубил на куски всю золотую утварь, которую сделал для храма Вечного царь Исраила Сулейман.

He carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans—a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.

Он увёл в плен весь Иерусалим: всех полководцев и воинов, всех ремесленников и кузнецов – десять тысяч человек общим счётом. Оставлен был лишь бедный люд страны.

Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. He also took from Jerusalem to Babylon the king’s mother, his wives, his officials and the prominent people of the land.

Навуходоносор увёл Иехонию пленным в Вавилон. Он увёл из Иерусалима в Вавилон мать царя, его жён, его придворных и знатных людей страны.

The king of Babylon also deported to Babylon the entire force of seven thousand fighting men, strong and fit for war, and a thousand skilled workers and artisans.

Ещё царь Вавилона привёл пленниками в Вавилон всё войско из семи тысяч воинов, сильных и готовых к бою, и тысячи ремесленников и кузнецов.

He made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s uncle, king in his place and changed his name to Zedekiah.

Zedekiah King of Judah

Он сделал Маттанию, дядю Иехонии, царём вместо него, и дал ему новое имя – Цедекия.

Цедекия – царь Иудеи

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.

Цедекии был двадцать один год, когда он стал царём, и правил он в Иерусалиме одиннадцать лет. Его мать звали Хамуталь, она была дочерью Иеремии из Ливны.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as Jehoiakim had done.

Цедекия делал зло в глазах Вечного, во всём уподобляясь Иоакиму.

It was because of the Lord’s anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence.

The Fall of Jerusalem

Now Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

Иерусалим и Иудея так разгневали Вечного, что Он прогнал их от Себя.

Падение Иерусалима

Цедекия восстал против царя Вавилона.
