1 Kings 15

In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijah^[a] became king of Judah,

На восемнадцатом году правления Иеровоама, сына Невата, царём Иудеи стал Авия.

and he reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother’s name was Maakah daughter of Abishalom.^[b]

Он правил в Иерусалиме три года. Его мать звали Мааха, она была внучкой Авессалома.^[a]

He committed all the sins his father had done before him; his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his forefather had been.

Он делал все те же грехи, что и его отец перед ним, и его сердце не было полностью предано Вечному, его Богу, как сердце его предка Давуда.

Nevertheless, for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem by raising up a son to succeed him and by making Jerusalem strong.

И всё же, ради Давуда, Вечный, его Бог, дал ему в Иерусалиме потомка^[b], воздвигнув после него его сына и упрочив Иерусалим.

For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not failed to keep any of the Lord’s commands all the days of his life—except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.

Ведь Давуд делал то, что было правильным в глазах Вечного, и во все дни жизни не отступал от Его повелений, не считая истории с хеттом Урией^[c].

There was war between Abijah^[c] and Jeroboam throughout Abijah’s lifetime.

Во все дни жизни Авии шла война, которая началась между царями Реховоамом и Иеровоамом.

As for the other events of Abijah’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

Прочие события царствования Авии и всё, что он сделал, записано в «Книге летописей царей Иудеи». Между Авией и Иеровоамом шла война.

And Abijah rested with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David. And Asa his son succeeded him as king.

Asa King of Judah

Авия упокоился со своими предками и был похоронен в Городе Давуда. И царём вместо него стал его сын Аса.

Аса – царь Иудеи

In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa became king of Judah,

На двадцатом году правления Иеровоама, царя Исраила, царём Иудеи стал Аса.

and he reigned in Jerusalem forty-one years. His grandmother’s name was Maakah daughter of Abishalom.

Он правил в Иерусалиме сорок один год. Его бабушкой была Мааха, внучка Авессалома.

Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father David had done.

Аса делал то, что было правильным в глазах Вечного, как и его предок Давуд.

He expelled the male shrine prostitutes from the land and got rid of all the idols his ancestors had made.

Он изгнал из страны храмовых блудников и убрал всех идолов, которых сделали его предки.

He even deposed his grandmother Maakah from her position as queen mother, because she had made a repulsive image for the worship of Asherah. Asa cut it down and burned it in the Kidron Valley.

Он даже лишил Мааху, свою бабушку, положения царицы-матери за то, что она сделала отвратительный столб Ашеры. Аса срубил её столб и сжёг его в долине Кедрон.

Although he did not remove the high places, Asa’s heart was fully committed to the Lord all his life.

Он не упразднил святилищ на возвышенностях, но сердце его было всё же полностью предано Вечному во все дни его жизни.

He brought into the temple of the Lord the silver and gold and the articles that he and his father had dedicated.

Он внёс в храм Вечного жертвенные дары отца и свои собственные – серебро, золото и различную утварь.

There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel throughout their reigns.

Между Асой и Баашей, царём Исраила, во все дни их правления шла война.

Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and fortified Ramah to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the territory of Asa king of Judah.

Бааша, царь Исраила, выступил против Иудеи и укрепил город Раму, чтобы никто не мог ни войти во владения Асы, царя Иудеи, ни покинуть их.

Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.

Тогда Аса взял всё серебро и золото, которое оставалось в сокровищницах храма Вечного и его собственного дворца. Он дал его своим приближённым и отправил их к Бен-Ададу^[d], сыну Табриммона, внуку Хезиона, царю Сирии, который правил в Дамаске, сказав:

“Let there be a treaty between me and you,” he said, “as there was between my father and your father. See, I am sending you a gift of silver and gold. Now break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel so he will withdraw from me.”

– Пусть между мной и тобой будет союз, как он был между нашими отцами. Вот, я посылаю тебе в дар серебро и золото. Расторгни же свой союз с Баашей, царём Исраила, чтобы он отступил от меня.

Ben-Hadad agreed with King Asa and sent the commanders of his forces against the towns of Israel. He conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maakah and all Kinnereth in addition to Naphtali.

Бен-Адад согласился с предложением царя Асы и послал своих военачальников против городов Исраила. Они захватили города Ион, Дан, Авель-Бет-Мааху и весь район Киннерет со всей землёй Неффалима.

When Baasha heard this, he stopped building Ramah and withdrew to Tirzah.

Услышав об этом, Бааша перестал укреплять Раму и отошёл в Тирцу.

Then King Asa issued an order to all Judah—no one was exempt—and they carried away from Ramah the stones and timber Baasha had been using there. With them King Asa built up Geba in Benjamin, and also Mizpah.

А царь Аса огласил по всей Иудее указ ко всем без исключения, чтобы они вынесли из Рамы камни и дерево, которыми строил Бааша. Царь Аса укрепил ими город Геву, что в земле Вениамина, и Мицпу.

As for all the other events of Asa’s reign, all his achievements, all he did and the cities he built, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? In his old age, however, his feet became diseased.

Все прочие события царствования Асы, все его свершения и всё, что он сделал, включая города, которые он построил, записаны в «Книге летописей царей Иудеи». В старости он страдал от болезни ног.

Then Asa rested with his ancestors and was buried with them in the city of his father David. And Jehoshaphat his son succeeded him as king.

Nadab King of Israel

Аса упокоился со своими предками и был похоронен с ними в городе своего предка Давуда. И царём вместо него стал его сын Иосафат.

Надав – царь Исраила

Nadab son of Jeroboam became king of Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years.

Надав, сын Иеровоама, стал царём Исраила на втором году правления Асы, царя Иудеи, и правил Исраилом два года.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the ways of his father and committing the same sin his father had caused Israel to commit.

Он делал зло в глазах Вечного, ходя путями своего отца и в его грехе, к которому тот склонил Исраил.

Baasha son of Ahijah from the tribe of Issachar plotted against him, and he struck him down at Gibbethon, a Philistine town, while Nadab and all Israel were besieging it.

Бааша, сын Ахии, из дома Иссахара, составил против него заговор и сразил его при Гиббетоне, филистимском городе, когда Надав и весь Исраил осаждали его.

Baasha killed Nadab in the third year of Asa king of Judah and succeeded him as king.

Бааша убил Надава на третьем году правления Асы, царя Иудеи, и стал царём вместо него.

As soon as he began to reign, he killed Jeroboam’s whole family. He did not leave Jeroboam anyone that breathed, but destroyed them all, according to the word of the Lord given through his servant Ahijah the Shilonite.

Едва начав править, он уничтожил всю семью Иеровоама. Он не оставил в живых у Иеровоама никого, истребил их всех, по слову Вечного, изречённому через Его раба, Ахию из Шило,^[e]

This happened because of the sins Jeroboam had committed and had caused Israel to commit, and because he aroused the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel.

за грехи, которые Иеровоам совершил и к которым склонил Исраил, и за то, что он гневил Вечного, Бога Исраила.

As for the other events of Nadab’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?

Прочие события царствования Надава и всё, что он сделал, записано в «Книге летописей царей Исраила».

There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel throughout their reigns.

Между Асой и Баашей, царём Исраила, во всё время их правления шла война.

Бааша – царь Исраила

In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha son of Ahijah became king of all Israel in Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years.

На третьем году правления Асы, царя Иудеи, царём всего Исраила стал Бааша, сын Ахии, и правил в Тирце двадцать четыре года.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the ways of Jeroboam and committing the same sin Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit.

Он делал зло в глазах Вечного, ходя путями Иеровоама и в его грехе, к которому тот склонил Исраил.
