Psalm 84

My soul yearns, even faints,
    for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out
    for the living God.

Вечный, Ты был милостив к Своей земле;
    Ты вернул благополучие потомкам Якуба.

Even the sparrow has found a home,
    and the swallow a nest for herself,
    where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,
    Lord Almighty, my King and my God.

Ты простил беззаконие Своего народа
    и покрыл все его грехи. Пауза

Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
    they are ever praising you.^[c]

Ты отвёл Свою ярость,
    отвратил Свой пылающий гнев.

Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
    whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.

Восстанови нас, Всевышний, наш Спаситель,
    прекрати Своё негодование на нас.

As they pass through the Valley of Baka,
    they make it a place of springs;
    the autumn rains also cover it with pools.^[d]

Неужели Ты будешь гневаться на нас вечно,
    продлевать Свой гнев из поколения в поколение?

They go from strength to strength,
    till each appears before God in Zion.

Неужели не оживишь нас вновь,
    чтобы народ Твой возрадовался о Тебе?

Hear my prayer, Lord God Almighty;
    listen to me, God of Jacob.

Вечный, яви нам милость Твою
    и даруй нам спасение Твоё.

Look on our shield,^[e] O God;
    look with favor on your anointed one.

Послушаю, что скажет Вечный Бог,
    ведь Он обещает мир Своему народу –
    тем, кто верен Ему.
Лишь бы они снова не впали в безумие.

Better is one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Истинно, близко Его спасение к тем, кто боится Его,
    чтобы слава Его поселилась на нашей земле.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
    the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
    from those whose walk is blameless.

Милость и истина встретятся,
    праведность и мир поцелуются.

Lord Almighty,
    blessed is the one who trusts in you.
