Verse 1

The Mighty One, God, the Lord,
speaks and summons the earth
from the rising of the sun to where it sets.

Дирижёру хора. Песнь Давуда,

Verse 2

From Zion, perfect in beauty,
God shines forth.

когда пророк Нафан пришёл к нему, после того, как Давуд согрешил с Вирсавией.^[a]

Verse 3

Our God comes
and will not be silent;
a fire devours before him,
and around him a tempest rages.

О Всевышний, помилуй меня
по Своей великой милости,
по Своему великому состраданию
изгладь мои беззакония.

Verse 4

He summons the heavens above,
and the earth, that he may judge his people:

Омой меня от неправды
и от греха очисти,

Verse 5

“Gather to me this consecrated people,
who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”

потому что я сознаю свои беззакония,
и грех мой всегда предо мной.

Verse 6

And the heavens proclaim his righteousness,
for he is a God of justice.^[a]^[b]

Против Тебя Одного я согрешил
и в Твоих глазах сделал зло.
Ты справедлив в Своём приговоре
и безупречен в суде Своём.

Verse 7

“Listen, my people, and I will speak;
I will testify against you, Israel:
I am God, your God.

Вот, грешником я родился,
грешным зачала меня моя мать.

Verse 8

I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices
or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.

Но Ты желаешь истины в сердце,
так наполни меня Своей мудростью.

Verse 9

I have no need of a bull from your stall
or of goats from your pens,

Очисти меня иссопом^[b], и буду чист;
омой меня, и стану белее снега.

Verse 10

for every animal of the forest is mine,
and the cattle on a thousand hills.

Дай мне услышать веселье и радость;
пусть порадуются мои кости, Тобой сокрушённые.

Verse 11

I know every bird in the mountains,
and the insects in the fields are mine.

Отврати лицо от моих грехов
и неправду мою изгладь.

Verse 12

If I were hungry I would not tell you,
for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

Всевышний, сотвори во мне чистое сердце
и обнови во мне правый дух.

Verse 13

Do I eat the flesh of bulls
or drink the blood of goats?

Не отвергни меня от Себя
и не лиши меня Твоего Святого Духа.

Verse 14

“Sacrifice thank offerings to God,
fulfill your vows to the Most High,

Верни мне радость Твоего спасения
и дай мне желание быть послушным Тебе.

Verse 15

and call on me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

Тогда я научу нечестивых Твоим путям,
и грешники к Тебе обратятся.

Verse 16

But to the wicked person, God says:

“What right have you to recite my laws
or take my covenant on your lips?

Избавь меня от кровопролития, Всевышний,
Бог моего спасения,
и язык мой восхвалит праведность Твою.

Verse 17

You hate my instruction
and cast my words behind you.

Открой мне уста, Владыка,
и я возвещу Тебе хвалу.

Verse 18

When you see a thief, you join with him;
you throw in your lot with adulterers.

Жертва Тебе неугодна – я дал бы её;
всесожжения Ты не желаешь.

Verse 19

You use your mouth for evil
and harness your tongue to deceit.

Жертва Всевышнему – дух сокрушённый;
сокрушённое и скорбящее сердце, Всевышний,
Ты не отвергнешь.

Verse 20

You sit and testify against your brother
and slander your own mother’s son.

Сотвори Сиону добро по Своей благосклонности;
заново возведи стены Иерусалима.

Verse 21

When you did these things and I kept silent,
you thought I was exactly^[c] like you.
But I now arraign you
and set my accusations before you.

Тогда будут угодны Тебе
предписанные жертвы, возношения и всесожжения;
тогда приведут быков к Твоему жертвеннику.

Verse 22

“Consider this, you who forget God,
or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:

— not in CARS

Verse 23

Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me,
and to the blameless^[d] I will show my salvation.”
