Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever.

Give thanks to the God of gods.

Give thanks to the Lord of lords:

to him who alone does great wonders,

Как нам петь песнь Вечного
в чужой земле?

Verse 5

who by his understanding made the heavens,
His love endures forever.

Если я забуду тебя, Иерусалим,
то пусть отнимется моя правая рука.

Verse 6

who spread out the earth upon the waters,
His love endures forever.

Пусть прилипнет язык мой к нёбу,
если не буду помнить тебя,
если не будет Иерусалим
моей самой большой радостью.

Не забывай, Вечный, что делали эдомитяне
в день захвата вавилонянами Иерусалима,

the sun to govern the day,

the moon and stars to govern the night;
