Psalm 11

Verse 1
In the Lord I take refuge.
    How then can you say to me:
    “Flee like a bird to your mountain.

Verse 2
For look, the wicked bend their bows;
    they set their arrows against the strings
to shoot from the shadows
    at the upright in heart.
Вечный, помоги, потому что не стало благочестивых,
    исчезли верные среди людей!
Verse 3
When the foundations are being destroyed,
    what can the righteous do?”

Они обманывают друг друга;
    от лживого сердца говорит их льстивый язык.

Verse 4
The Lord is in his holy temple;
    the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
He observes everyone on earth;
    his eyes examine them.
Пусть погубит Вечный всякий льстивый язык
    и все хвастливые уста,
Verse 5
The Lord examines the righteous,
    but the wicked, those who love violence,
    he hates with a passion.
тех, кто говорит: «Мы одержим победу устами.
    Мы бойки на язык – кто нас переспорит?»

Verse 6
On the wicked he will rain
    fiery coals and burning sulfur;
    a scorching wind will be their lot.

«Так как слабых теснят,
    и бедные стонут,
Я ныне восстану, – говорит Вечный. –
    Я дам им желанный покой».
Verse 7
For the Lord is righteous,
    he loves justice;
    the upright will see his face.

Обещания Вечного – обещания чистые,
    как серебро, что очищено в горне,
    переплавлено семь раз.

Verse 8

Вечный, Ты сохранишь нас,
    сбережёшь нас от этого рода вовек.
Verse 9

Повсюду расхаживают нечестивые,
    когда у людей в почёте низость.
